The reeling Winnipeg Jets will be travelling to Utah on Sunday to take on the Mammoth. The Jets come into this game riding a three-game losing streak and just 2-6-2 in their last 10 games. The Central Division is stacked with elite teams. The top three teams in the NHL right now are in the Central Division. This is going to make the path to the playoffs much more difficult for the Jets. They currently sit five points outside of a wildcard playoff spot. The time is right now for them to start gathering points. This will be the final game for them before the Christmas break; I expect a solid effort from them. Their netminder, Connor Hellebuyck, has the potential to carry this team. When he’s on his game, there is no goalie in the world better than him. Look for a strong showing from him on Sunday.

The Mammoth are a solid hockey team, but they do not possess the top-end elite scoring talent that the Jets do. They will rely on their depth to try and solve Hellebuyck. With the Jets being on the road, there is some value there to be had. Give me the road underdogs in this one.
