Arsenal vs Tottenham Hotspur Pickswise Expert Predictions

Both Teams To Score Pick
BTTS - Yes(-112)

Tottenham’s search for a first Premier League win of 2026 continues in their most important match of the year so far – the north London derby against Arsenal on Sunday. The atmosphere at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will be febrile as Spurs seek a win to move away from the relegation zone, and the Gunners need to respond to accusations of bottling the title. It’s far too early to say Mikel Arteta’s team are buckling under the pressure of being out in front, but there were some concerning elements to their 2-2 midweek draw against Wolves. What should have been a chance to pull further clear of their rivals and pile extra pressure on Manchester City backfired as they inexplicably let a 2-goal lead slip at Molineux. Reliable stars like Gabriel Magalhaes and David Raya got in each other’s way for the equalizer before Gabriel Jesus lost his cool on the final whistle.

Arsenal have become overreliant on crossing and set pieces and if Bukayo Saka, who limped out of the game after taking a kick, doesn’t perform then they can look a bit one-dimensional. Arteta’s team can also let their emotions get the better of them and, although that can make them look devastating when their tails are up, it is definitely a hindrance when they are put under pressure.

Whether Igor Tudor’s Spurs can do that on Sunday remains to be seen in what will be a baptism of fire for the new interim boss. He will have had a few days to implement his ideas and formulate a game plan, but will be without just as many injured and suspended players as his predecessor was towards the end of his reign. Tudor’s best option might be to spoil the game, push Arsenal’s buttons and hope they implode, while Cristian Romero’s ban may help Spurs keep 11 players on the pitch if it turns ugly. Quality moments could be at a premium and goal chances at more of a premium than recent derbies, where 3 or more goals have become commonplace. There should still be enough in-form forwards around to ensure both teams score for the 3rd NLD in a row. BTTS has landed in 6 of the last 7 Spurs home games and 7 of Arsenal’s last 8 road trips.
