How to sign up for a Betway Sportsbook account

The process of signing up for a Betway Sportsbook account is as straightforward as it gets. It’ll take just a few minutes of your time and will involve inputting some personal information. However, it’ll be over in no time. Just to make sure you don’t get lost along the way, as part of our Betway Sportsbook review, we’ll take you through the sign-up process one step at a time.

  • Click on the Betway Sportsbook link on our page to get yourself to the Betway sign-up page.
  • The first step is to simply enter your email address and choose a password for your Betway Sportsbook account. It also includes checking a box to confirm that you are at least 21 years old and to agree to Betway’s terms & conditions, house rules and privacy policy. Just in case you need it, there is also a link in the sign-up box to contact support.
  • The second box that pops up during the Betway Sportsbook sign-up process will ask you to fill out your name, birth date and phone number. Just make sure that this is a cell phone number that can receive SMS codes that will be used to verify your Betway Sportsbook account. This is one of the ways Betway makes sure that your account remains safe and secure.
  • The next box is for answering a security question to further protect your account and personal information. There are four possible security questions, allowing you to choose one and input your answer.
  • Next, you will be asked to input the last four numbers of your social security number to help confirm your identity.
  • The next step in the sign-up process asks you to start typing your mailing address using auto search. Betway also gives you the option of entering your address manually. Again, this helps to confirm your identity and protect your personal information.
  • Finally, there are several boxes to check before completing your account. Some of these boxes are optional to check, such as the box to be sent an email every time you log into your Betway Sportsbook account. However, other boxes must be checked to verify that you have entered accurate information and are not associated with a casino or sports governing body. There is also a box that you must check to confirm that you understand it’s illegal to allow another person to use or access your Betway Sportsbook account.
  • Once all of the boxes are checked, click on “Submit.” You will have a few more security questions to answer designed to validate your identity. However, these questions should be easy for you to answer. After your answers have been confirmed, your phone will be sent a confirmation code. Just input this code and you will have successfully created your Betway Sportsbook account. From here, you will be free to start making wagers on Betway Sportsbook, which we will outline below in our Betway Sportsbook review.

How to place a bet on Betway Sportsbook

Once you have signed up for a Betway Sportsbook account, you are free to start placing as many wagers as you’d like. Fortunately, it’s even easier to make bets than it was to sign up for an account. Just to be sure, we’ll walk you through the process step by step as part of our Betway Sportsbook review.

  • Use your email address and password to sign into your Betway Sportsbook account.
  • Once you’re signed in and are on the Betway Sportsbook homepage, the middle of the screen will help you to navigate to live and upcoming events. On the left side of the screen, you will find links to the featured events that are most popular with customers. However, you can scroll down to find a full list of the sports available.
  • All you have to do is select your preferred sport or league to find a full list of sporting events. For each event, you will see the point spread, money line and totals (over/under) for that event. There will also be a number to the right that will tell you how many additional bets are available for that event. Click on this number to view the additional betting markets and options for that game.
  • As soon as you click on the bet you wish to make, a bet slip will appear on the right side of your screen. Your first bet will appear in a tab marked “Single,” but there will also be tabs for parlay, round-robin and teaser if you choose to add more bets to your bet slip.
  • Be aware that a value of $10 will be automatically placed in the bet slip. Make sure that you alter that amount if you prefer to wager something other than $10. Located next to the wager box, you will see how much the return is for a correct bet.
  • When you’re satisfied with what you have in your bet slip, click the “Place Bets” button. There is also a “Clear All” button if you wish to start over.

Betway Sportsbook bonuses and promotions

When using Betway Sportsbook or any other online sportsbook, it’s essential for players to take advantage of bonuses and promotions at every chance they get. The margins for turning a profit with sports betting can be tight. That’s why you need to make sure you get an edge as often as possible. By utilizing bonuses and promotions when they come along, you can increase your winnings on accurate bets and give yourself a better chance of making money rather than losing.

From the perspective of sportsbooks, they offer members bonuses and promotions as a way to attract new customers and keep existing ones. As a veteran of the industry, Betway Sportsbook understands this as well as any other online sportsbook. As we’ll see in our Betway Sportsbook review, there are a variety of ways that Betway members can get that little edge they need by accessing the platform’s bonuses and promos. As is usually the case, it starts with Betway’s welcome bonus for new customers to help introduce new members to the sportsbook. Let’s take a closer look at Betway’s welcome bonus and the site’s other promos and bonuses.

Welcome bonus

Betway Sportsbook tries to give new customers an opportunity to get off to a positive start. After signing up for an account, you can make a deposit of at least $10 and then make your first wager. If your first wager with Betway Sportsbook loses, you will receive bonus funds equal to your wager up to $250. These are betting credits that can be used to place additional bets on Betway Sportsbook. Essentially, either you win your first bet or you receive that money back to keep placing bets that will hopefully be more successful. Keep in mind that Betway Sportsbook will refund your first bet with betting credits up to $250, which is a higher cap than most sportsbooks offer with a similar welcome promotion.

Parlay boosts

Depending on the season, Betway Sportsbook may offer a parlay boost for a specific sport. For instance, it has a long-standing soccer parlay boost that can be used on any soccer game between August 1, 2022, and July 31, 2023. There is a sliding scale for this boost depending on the number of legs, assuming each leg has minimum odds of -500 or shorter. With a three-leg soccer parlay, you would receive a 5% profit boost. For a four-leg parlay, it’s a 7% boost. The boosts go all the way to parlays between 15 and 20 legs, which receive a 40% boost. This type of bonus allows customers to profit even more when they win a parlay.

Daily odds boosts

Every day, Betway Sportsbook selects a new batch of games and bets that have received an odds boost. Locating these games is easy to find, as the top link under the “Featured Links” category on the left side of the home screen is for “Betway Boosts Enhance Odds.” While you have to check back on this daily to see the boosts being offered for that day, Betway Sportsbook does a good job of offering odds boosts for multiple sports and ensuring there are at least a handful of options available for customers.

Cash out

Betway Sportsbook offers customers the ability to settle a bet before the end of a game. This is a useful feature for customers since it allows them to cut their losses if a sporting event isn’t going as they predicted. It also gives members the option of taking a portion of their winnings early if they don’t think the result they picked will hold. The exact amount available for a cash-out will depend on your wager and the score of the game when you cash out. However, as soon as you exercise your cash out, that money will be available in your account right away, allowing you to use that money to place other bets.

What states is Betway Sportsbook legal in

Before you get too excited about using Betway Sportsbook’s welcome bonus or any of the other promos offered by this platform, it’s good to know whether Betway Sportsbook is legal where you live. While legal sports betting is growing one state at a time, it’s not yet legal throughout the entire country.

At the time of writing this, Betway Sportsbook is operating in eight different states across the US. While this may not seem like a lot, as the number of states to legalize mobile and online sports betting continues to grow, so we expect Betway to also expand where it operates in due time. These are the states where it is legal to use Betway Sportsbook:

Betway Sportsbook mobile app review

Nowadays, both serious and novice sports bettors want to be able to place a bet and track their bets from anywhere, usually using their phone or other mobile devices. This has made a functional and attractive mobile app a must-have item for most online sportsbooks. In the case of Betway Sportsbook, they have delivered a useful mobile app that allows customers to get the same experience features on their phone or tablet that they can get with the desktop site.

Equally important, the Betway Sportsbook mobile app is available on both Android and iOS devices. The app can be downloaded on both devices without any hassle. This allows you to sign into your account, deposit funds, navigate various sports and leagues, place any bet you want and withdraw winnings on your preferred mobile device. As long as you’re still physically located in a state where Betway Sportsbook is legal, the app works the same as the desktop version. In fact, the layout is the same on both versions, so if you use the website platform, you should have no problem navigating the mobile app just as easily.

Betway Sportsbook website review

While the mobile app of a sportsbook is important, the desktop version is usually the primary platform for most customers. With Betway Sportsbook, you will get a simple and easy-to-understand website that can easily take you to where you want to go. It’s not a flashy platform with a lot of bright colors or pictures, but it will be easy to find your way around and get everything you would need with the Betway Sportsbook website.

After signing into your account, there will be a set of rotation promotions in the middle of the screen. Directly below is an easy way to access all of the live and upcoming sports events. The more popular sports will be featured both here and on the left side of the screen. That means leagues like the NBA, NFL and prominent soccer leagues will be easy to spot. Just one click will get you to a full list of events in the league or sport, as well as the spread, money line and total (over/under) for each game. For each game, there is also a link to see the other betting markets available for that game, as well as a button that looks like a bar graph that will open a window full of relevant statistics for that specific game. This feature allows you to perform research on a game before betting on it.

The top left corner of the screen also includes quick links that can take you to live and upcoming events, as well as the results of past bets, Betway’s ongoing promotions and other features. If all else fails, there is a search function that starts listing results as soon as you type one letter, making it easy to quickly find what you’re looking for.

Finally, on the right side of the screen, you will find your bet slip. Within the bet slip, you will see your wager and your total return. If you have multiple games in your bet slip, it becomes easy to toggle between single, parlay, round-robin and teaser. Also, right above the bet slip is a way to change how the odds are displayed. American odds will be the default method, although you can also choose decimal or fractional. Overall, it’s a simple website design, but nothing is hidden and everything you need is right in front of you.

Which sports can you bet on at Betway Sportsbook?

Diversity and selection are important selling points for sportsbooks, which is something that Betway Sportsbook surely recognizes. One way that Betway Sportsbook provides members with options is in regard to the number of sports it offers. After all, bettors don’t always want to bet on the same sport time after time. It’s usually a good idea to explore different sports and find which ones fit the best with your personal betting habits.

Of course, Betway Sportsbook makes all of the major sports and leagues available. You will have no trouble betting on the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB and countless soccer leagues from all over the world. However, Betway Sportsbook also does a good job of making bets on niche sports available. Even if you’re not familiar with these sports, you can explore your betting options and maybe find something new that you like. In fact, Betway Sportsbook might be the best online sportsbook for betting on sports that are a little outside of the mainstream. Here is a full list of the sports available on the Betway Sportsbook platform:

Which sports betting markets can you bet at Betway Sportsbook

One of the most important elements of any sportsbook is the betting markets and types of betting offered to customers. Every sportsbook can offer the basics like point spreads, totals (over/under) and money line bets. But offering far more than the standard types of betting is one way that Betway Sportsbook helps to separate itself from the pack.

Even if you stick to the basics in the beginning, most folks like to explore some of the more complicated and advanced forms of sports betting. If nothing else, variety is always a good thing to have when it comes to betting on sports; that way, there are always options at your disposal and new things to try. That’s why as part of our Betway Sportsbook review, we wanted to look closely at the various types of betting you’ll be able to find at Betway Sportsbook:

Point spread

If you’re new to sports betting, you’ll likely get started with point spreads, which is also called betting against the spread. This is when the odds of a game are evened out by forcing the team that’s favored in the game to win by a certain margin. Folks in the sports betting industry call this covering the spread. By including a point spread, sportsbooks like Betway are trying to encourage an equal amount of betting on both sides. This also leads to equal or near-equal odds on each side. At Betway Sportsbook, it’s usually -110, meaning you have to wager $110 in order to make a $100 profit.

For example, an NBA game might have a point spread of 6.5 points. This means that the team that’s favored has to win the game by seven points or more. If the underdog team wins the game or loses by six points or less, they will be winners against the spread and bets placed on that team will be winning bets. In this instance, you know what team is favored because the favorite will be listed at -6.5 points while the underdog is listed at +6.5 points.

Money line

If you want to forget about point spreads entirely, you can place bets using only the money line. This means you are only betting on the winner of the game straight-up. It doesn’t matter if they win by one point or 50 points. The catch is that the teams won’t have equal odds since the team that’s favored will be more likely to win the game, at least in the eyes of the sportsbook. We all know that underdogs can sometimes pull off an upset. From a betting perspective, this means you have to risk more money on a favorite to make a sizable profit whereas betting on an underdog is more lucrative because that outcome is deemed less likely.

If you follow the example from above, a team that’s favored by 6.5 points will likely have a money line of -250 on Betway Sportsbook. This means you will need to wager $250 in order to make a profit of $100 on that bet. On the flip side, the team that’s an underdog will have a money line of around +210. This means that a bet of $100 will pay out a profit of $210. Of course, since the spread is meaningless in this type of bet, that underdog will need to win the game in order to profit.

Total (over/under)

With a total bet, which is often called the over/under, the winner and loser of a game are completely ignored. The only thing that matters is the number of points scored in the game by both teams combined. The range of options usually differs based on the sport, but in most cases, a number will be provided by sportsbooks and bettors will have to choose whether the total points scored in that game will be higher or lower, thus the nickname over/under. This is usually considered one of the simplest forms of betting and a good option if you’re stumped on what team will win and whether one team can cover the spread or not.

Parlay

After bettors start to become a little more accustomed to the simple types of betting, they like to give parlays a try. A parlay might seem a little complicated on the surface, but it’s just the act of combining several bets into a single bet. This increases the potential profit of a bet, even more so than if you were to bet on each leg of a parlay individually. However, one wrong bet in a parlay and the entire parlay loses, so this is a very high-risk/high-reward type of bet.

For example, a $10 bet on a game with -110 odds will return $19.09, meaning a profit of $9.09. If you are correct on two separate $10 bets at -110 odds, that means a profit of $18.18. However, if those two bets are combined in a parlay, the odds become +264, which means that a $10 bet will have a profit of $26.40 while a $20 bet in that two-leg parlay will lead to a profit of $52.80. In other words, if you bet $10 on those two games individually, and they both win, the profit is $18.18. But if you use that same $20 on a two-leg parlay, the profit would be $52.80, so there is a lot more of a reward in creating a parlay. Of course, if either bet loses, the whole parlay loses, even if you pick one of those games correctly.

Teaser

A teaser is a common tactic to help increase your chances of winning a parlay. Essentially, the spread of each leg of a parlay is decreased by a certain number of points. For instance, if you have a four-point teaser, rather than a team being favored by 6.5 points, you may be on that favorite in your parlay as if they are only a 2.5-point favorite. Likewise, if you bet on the underdog in that game as part of a four-point teaser, it’s as if they are an underdog of 10.5 points.

The purpose of a teaser is to give the picks in your parlay a little wiggle room. When it comes to point spreads, the margins can be small, so a teaser gives your parlay a better chance of winning. The caveat is that the more points you tease, the lower the payout. For example, a three-leg parlay might have odds of +595, but that same parlay with a four-point teaser is reduced to +170. Parlays can be a balancing act, and teasers provide bettors with a little more margin for error.

Round robin

A round-robin bet also relates to a parlay. Rather than creating a large parlay, a round-robin allows you to automatically create several smaller parlays using those bets. This helps to protect you against one loss spoiling the entire parlay. Instead, some of the parlays in your round-robin will still be active even if one of the legs loses. Similar to a teaser, this allows you to hedge your bets a little, albeit in a different way.

For example, if you have five bets in your parlay, you can create a round-robin that entails sets of two being parlayed together, essentially creating 10 different two-leg parlays with that set of five bets. The same can be done with sets of three or four, creating every possible parlay combination using the five bets in your bet slip. This can be a good strategy to use if you feel confident about the bets in your parlay but want a little bit of safety in case one of them loses.

Prop

Prop bets are a fun and entertaining form of betting that ignores the result of the game altogether. Instead, prop bets relate to events within the game or stats related to a specific team or player. While there is typically a large number of prop bets for a game, they are quite simple to make. For example, there might be a prop bet about the number of points an NBA team will score in the first quarter of a game or an over/under for the number of passing yards a quarterback will have.

With prop bets, you only have to think about one specific element of a game rather than the whole game. Also, experienced bettors sometimes find great value in prop bets. This is because, with so many options for every game, sportsbooks can’t always assign fair and appropriate odds to every single prop bet, creating an opportunity to place prop bets with favorable odds if you can find them.

Futures

Futures bets are aimed more toward the long-term than the short term. These bets don’t involve a single game but rather play out over the course of the season. For instance, picking the winner of the NBA championship or a specific division before the start of the season is a good example of a typical futures bet. That being said, even after a season begins, it’s still possible to place wagers on futures bets. Just know that a team’s odds often change during the course of a season. A team might be overlooked with +1200 odds at the start of the season, but if they are in first place midway through the season, they might have +300 odds.

Betway Sportsbook does a better job than most other sportsbooks when it comes to helping customers make futures bets. Whenever you click on your preferred sport or league, there are typically two tabs; one is for game odds and the other is for futures. Within the futures tab, there are several other options depending on the sport, making Betway Sportsbook a great and easy option for fans who like making long-term futures bets.

Betway Sportsbook deposit & withdrawal options

In fact, when making your initial deposit, Betway Sportsbook reminds you of the bonus options available to you, specifically the welcome bonus of up to $250 in betting credits. But before you claim that bonus, here are the methods available for depositing funds on Betway Sportsbook:

After all, sports betting can be complicated at times, and questions are bound to come up. The good news is that Betway Sportsbook should have you covered with its excellent customer service options.
