UFC Fight Night 287 Best Bet: Salahdine Parnasse Win by KO/TKO over Dan Hooker (-145)

The Main Event at UFC Fight Night 287 will see Dan Hooker take on Salahdine Parnasse in the UFC Lightweight division. Hooker enters this fight with an MMA record of 24-14 and 14-10 in the UFC. Despite this being the UFC debut for Parnasse, he is a significant favorite in this fight. That being said, we will be looking at the method of victory he could win by. Parnasse has had plenty of success in his MMA career in terms of winning by finish. To this point, he has won 15 times inside the distance, 8 by KO/TKO and 7 by submission.
Hooker, on the other hand, has lost by KO/TKO 4 times over his last 10 fights. He has started to become more vulnerable to being knocked out in recent fights; therefore, backing Parnasse to win by KO/TKO will be our best bet.

The Co-Main Event at UFC Fight Night 287 will see Axel Sola take on Fares Ziam in the UFC Lightweight division. Ziam enters this fight with an MMA record of 18-5 and 8-3 in the UFC. He is averaging 2.68 significant strikes per minute and has a striking accuracy of 52%. Ziam is absorbing 1.58 strikes and has a striking defense of 63%. He also has solid grappling, averaging 1.86 takedowns every 15 minutes. He has a takedown accuracy of 42% and a takedown defense of 70%.

Ziam is the clear favorite in this fight; however, Sola looks to be the best betting option. For one, Ziam is coming off a loss in his most recent fight against Tom Nolan, whom he was a heavy favorite against. On top of that, Sola has the advantage in both striking and grappling. Ziam does have more UFC experience and absorbs less damage, but his lack of striking volume means that backing Sola to win is our best bet.
