Army hits the road to battle the No. 2 Duke Blue Devils in the opener at Cameron Indoor Stadium. Expectations are sky-high for Duke, as they usually are. The Blue Devils lost Cameron Boozer, but like usual, they just reload with a new set of five-star recruits in Durham, while also adding transfer help, too. John Blackwell, Patrick Ngongba and Cameron Williams comprise a new Big Three for the Blue Devils.
The Black Knights will look to try and slow down the Blue Devils, but they don't have nearly the same kind of size, strength and skill on the glass, or along the perimeter, and Army will simply be trying to keep it close. This is the kind of game that can get away quick. Duke isn't out to embarrass anybody — especially former Coach K's alma mater — but this has the look of a 95-50 kind of a game, as Duke covers the big number in the opener.
Army vs Duke prediction: Duke -42.5 (-110) available at time of publishing. Playable at that number.
