BYU vs Kansas State Pickswise Expert Predictions

Point Spread Pick
BYU Win -7.5(-110)

No. 10 BYU gets set to take on Kansas State in a Big 12 showdown, with all eyes on AJ Dybantsa from the Cougars and PJ Haggerty for the Wildcats. Both teams have a dynamic offense this season, with BYU averaging 87.4 points per game while shooting 50.2% from the floor. Kansas State isn’t far behind, putting up 88.5 points per game and shooting 49.4% this season. Defensively, BYU has the edge, limiting opponents to just 66.6 points per game and 40.1% shooting, while Kansas State has struggled on that end of the floor, allowing 77.6 points per game and a 43.4% shooting percentage.

BYU could easily be undefeated this season, with its only loss coming by two points against then-No. 3 UConn. Kansas State went through a difficult stretch earlier in the season, losing four straight games, including a surprising 16-point loss to Bowling Green. The last time the Wildcats faced a team with BYU’s depth and talent was back in November when they lost by one to Nebraska and fell by 17 to then-No. 15 Indiana. While PJ Haggerty has been excellent this season, averaging 22.9 points and 5.1 rebounds per game, Kansas State may struggle to find an answer for AJ Dybantsa, who is averaging 23.1 points and 7.2 rebounds per game. This will be the toughest test for Kansas State this season, and I think the trio of Dybantsa, Richie Saunders, and Robert Wright III will be too much for the Wildcats to handle.

BYU vs Kansas State prediction: BYU -7.5 (-110) available at time of publishing. Playable at that number.
