Oklahoma State vs Colorado Pickswise Expert Predictions

Point Spread Pick
Colorado -1.5(-115)

The last game on the slate tonight for the Big 12 tournament features the Oklahoma State Cowboys vs the Colorado Buffaloes. Oddly, both teams rank inside the top 70 in the KenPom rankings, despite finishing in the bottom third of this conference. That just speaks to how good the Big 12 is overall. Neither of these teams is likely to advance far into the tournament though, as they have some clear flaws. But when these teams met a couple weeks ago in Colorado, the Buffs won pretty cleanly, and at one point they led by as much as 17. I think they have the advantage here again, and I will take Colorado -1.5.

Both teams are offensive-minded, primarily. The Cowboys are trying to break the land speed record when they play; you can just ignore the shot clock. Oklahoma State plays at a top 10 pace, and they do all the things that come with that—attack the rim, get fouled, try to play in transition before the defense is set. Colorado actually has the more efficient offense though, and they take care of the ball and do not allow many transition opportunities. If the Buffs keep the Cowboys out of transition, they should win this game.

Oklahoma State vs Colorado Prediction; Colorado -1.5 (-110) available at the time of publishing. Playable at that number.
