Oregon vs Creighton Pickswise Expert Predictions

Point Spread Pick
Oregon -1.5(-110)

Oregon’s and Creighton’s trip to Las Vegas has been far from ideal. Both teams have dropped two straight games, but only one will be able to salvage their trip with a win in today’s matchup.  The Ducks kept things close against No. 21 Auburn, losing just by 11, but followed that with a tough 17-point loss to San Diego State, allowing the Aztecs to shoot an incredible 67.2% from the field. Creighton lost to Baylor by 7 points, but struggled against No. 15 Iowa State, falling by 18, allowing the Cyclones to shoot 49.2% from the floor.

Fatigue may play a role for both sides, but Creighton has been shooting the ball slightly better than the Ducks in their last two games. On the season, Creighton is making 44.2% of their shots and averaging 74.7 points per game. However, they’re also allowing their opponents to shoot 44.2% from the field and average 71.7 points per game. The Ducks are shooting 39.9% overall and averaging 75 points per game, but they’ve allowed 74.5 points per game, and opponents are hitting 44.4% of their shots. The Ducks do have more depth than the Blue Jays, and despite both teams’ recent struggles, Oregon is a better team than they’ve shown over the past two games. Look for the Ducks’ depth, energy, and ability to grab a few extra rebounds to create second-chance opportunities to be the difference maker here. What should be an exciting battle, the Ducks will pull away in the second half and close out their Las Vegas trip with a win.
