Oregon vs Washington Pickswise Expert Predictions

Point Spread Pick
Washington -9.5(-110)

The Sunday basketball slate takes us out west where the Washington Huskies host the Oregon Ducks in a Big Ten clash of long-time rivals. The season, however, is not going well for either squad, and time is quickly running out on their chances of righting the ship. For Oregon, the problem has been injuries, as the Ducks have fallen to 1-7 in conference play. For Washington, the issue has been a brutal stretch in the schedule. The Huskies have lost 5 of their last 6, but those were to Purdue, Indiana, Michigan, Michigan State, and Nebraska. I think this is a spot to look past the records and recognize that Washington is the better team. Let’s take them to cover -9.5.

This is a big number, but Oregon is in a bad place. They have lost two of their most important players in Nate Bittle and Jackson Shelstad to injury, and the Ducks have struggled to find answers in their absence. For the Huskies, we are talking about a team with a lot of talent, especially on offense, and the pieces should start to come together down the stretch. We have a better offensive team, playing at home, hosting a rival who is riddled with injuries. This is a spot Washington should be able to pull away.

Oregon vs Washington prediction: Washington -9.5 (-110) available at time of publishing. Playable at that number.
