Villanova Wildcats vs La Salle Explorers Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 11/19/25

Some may not realize that the Wildcats and Explorers are rivals. The Wildcats have been to the pinnacle of the college basketball mountaintop while La Salle hasn’t won a conference title in 30 years. However, La Salle did cut down the nets in 1954 but that was long before March Madness was a thing. Point we are trying to make is, the knee-jerk reaction is back the Wildcats. Nova has the more brand recognition and public appeal, the Explorers do not.

But as mentioned this is a rivalry, one with Philadelphia roots as both teams are cross-town enemies. The Explorers have not beaten the Wildcats in over 12 years. It’s been nine straight for Nova. In a packed-out Glaser Center with a squad that has nothing to lose in this contest, thus all the more inclined to throw the kitchen sink at the visitor, the Explorers plus the points makes the most sense here. This after all is Villanova’s first true road game this season and they are stepping into a Hornet’s Nest against a rival who will have nothing to lose. Laying the points here is too risky.
