Villanova vs Michigan Pickswise Expert Predictions

Point Spread Pick
Michigan -15.5(-110)

Villanova will face its toughest test of the season on Tuesday as the Wildcats take on #2 Michigan. The Wildcats’ only loss came at the start of the season, when they lost by 5 points to then-#8 BYU — but this Michigan squad is arguably the best in college basketball. Heading into this matchup, the Wildcats will need to play near-perfect basketball to have a chance at an upset — but it’s unlikely. The Wolverines have won 4 straight games by 30+ points, which includes a 40-point win over then-#12 Gonzaga and a 30-point win over then-#21 Auburn.

The Wolverines have it all — they have the talent offensively and defensively, they play at a fast pace and they know how to grab plenty of rebounds. They have 4 players averaging double-digits, with enough depth off the bench to wear down Villanova for all 40 minutes. To the Wildcats’ credit, every one of their starters is averaging double-digits this season and they are shooting 48.4% from the field. However, you can’t ignore what Michigan just did to Auburn and especially Gonzaga. Villanova may hang around early, but l expect this Wolverines team to run away with this game in the second half — making Michigan my best bet of the day.

Villanova vs Michigan prediction: Michigan -15.5 (-110) available at time of publishing. Playable at that number.
