Washington vs UCLA Pickswise Expert Predictions

Point Spread Pick
UCLA Win -5.5(-110)

UCLA is playing some of their best basketball of the season and will look to protect their home court as they welcome Washington to town. The Bruins have won four of their last five games, averaging 81.6 points per game while allowing just 70.4 during that span. Washington, on the other hand, has dropped three of its last five games and has struggled away from home this season. The Huskies are averaging 70.8 points per game while allowing the same number defensively over that stretch.

UCLA could be without Skyy Clark due to a hamstring issue, which could limit their team’s 3-point shooting. However, Xavier Booker stepped up in the Bruins’ last outing, scoring 24 points while going a perfect 4-for-4 from beyond the arc. The Bruins also lean heavily on leading scorer Tyler Bilodeau, who’s averaging 18.2 points and 5.7 rebounds per game. The Huskies have some firepower of their own, led by Hannes Steinbach, who averages 17.8 points and 11.5 rebounds per game. Washington has four players averaging double digits, which brings depth to this team that could give UCLA a tough time. However, they’ve struggled from deep (32.2% this season) and have been prone to turnovers, often allowing opponents to generate easy transition opportunities. UCLA is the hotter team coming into this game, and they’ve been the better team all season, even if Clark doesn’t suit up. The Bruins have plenty of depth, and they should have no issues getting the job done on their home court today, making them my best bet of the day.

Washington vs UCLA prediction: UCLA -5.5 (-110) available at time of publishing. Playable at that number.
