Colorado State vs Boise State Pickswise Expert Predictions

Point Spread Pick
Colorado State +16.5(-110)

The Boise State Broncos will welcome in the Colorado State Rams this Saturday for a Mountain West Conference game. Boise State has a record of 6-4 and a conference record of 4-2 this season. The Broncos had a hold of the top spot in the conference before losing back-to-back games against Fresno State and San Diego State. Quarterback Maddux Madsen went down with an injury early in the game against Fresno State, leaving backup sophomore quarterback Max Cutforth under center in the two losses. Cutforth was 26 of 47 for 210 yards, 1 touchdown and 2 interceptions combined in the losses. Colorado State has a record of 2-8 and a conference record of 1-5. They have lost their last four games, including their last loss to New Mexico 20-17. Colorado State’s one win in conference this season came against Fresno State 49-21 back at the beginning of October.

This season may be remembered as the rebound season after Ashton Jeanty led the Broncos to a conference championship last season. The Broncos offense has shown to be stale at times and lacking explosive plays. Their loss last week against San Diego State was the fourth time this season that the Boise State offense failed to put more than a single touchdown on the scoreboard. And now Boise State needs to manage around their quarterback injuries and Cutforth makes his second career collegiate start. Likely making his second career start in this game for Colorado State will be freshman quarterback Darius Curry. Curry impressed last week against one of the top teams in the conference in New Mexico. He threw for 248 yards and 2 touchdowns. The inexperience showed with the 3 interceptions, but Curry had the Rams in a position to win the game in the end. Right now there are too many question marks with Boise State’s offense to back them with this many points. I like for Colorado State to cover this spread.

Colorado State +16.5 is available at the time of publishing. Playable at that number.
