Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets
Game Totals Pick
Under 52.5(-110)

Sixteenth ranked Georgia Tech will try to go 5-0 when they travel to Wake Forest Saturday afternoon. The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are coming off a 45-24 win at home against Temple. Quarterback Haynes King threw two touchdown passes in this game, surprisingly his first two touchdown passes of the season. Georgia Tech gets most of their offense done on the ground, ranking 14th in the FBS with 249 rushing yards per game. This will be the Yellow Jackets first game away from their home field since week one when they beat Colorado 27-20. The Wake Forest Demon Deacons are coming off a 34-24 loss two weeks ago against North Carolina State. Senior quarterback Robby Ashford struggled in this game, throwing two interceptions. Wake Forest was unable to control possession in this game, only possessing the ball for 21:55. With a full bye week to prepare, we will see if the Demon Deacons will come into this game with a better gameplan.

Running the football will be a heavy feature in this contest. Both teams take a rush first approach. Wake Forest’s running back Demond Claiborne has gotten off to a fast start this season. Claiborne is averaging 9.9 yards per carry early on in the season, ranking as one of the highest averages in the FBS. Claiborne’s success will play a large factor if Wake Forest can sustain drives. Georgia Tech will run at you with both their quarterback and their leading running back, Jamal Haynes. This dual running style should be able to find success against a Demon Deacons defense that allowed 204 yards rushing against North Carolina State. The under has hit in four of the last five meetings between these teams and I am siding with it again in this game. Wake Forest currently ranks 132nd in the FBS in red zone offense, only scoring on 62.5% of trips within the 20-yard line. If we can have a couple of long, rush-heavy drives that end in field goals, the final score should stay under the total.

Under 52.5 is available at the time of publishing. Playable at that number.
