Maryland’s season has derailed entirely, going from 4-0 to 4-5 in the blink of an eye. The Terrapins have a tall task ahead on the road against a quality Illinois side. This game has some interesting elements involved, with 15 mph winds and 30 mph gusts projected for kickoff time in Champaign. Illinois has an all-around solid offense no matter how you frame it, though the Terrapins defense is really the only thing keeping them in a lot of their one-possession losses. 

Maryland ranks top-10 in net points per drive allowed defensively and 15th in points per quality drive allowed. With a 15-point spread and high winds, I expect Illinois to build an early lead before leaning on the run game, as the wind can cause all sorts of issues for both offenses. I’ll take the under.
