LSU is set to pay $750,000 to SE Louisiana for the Lions to visit Tiger Stadium this weekend, and things could get ugly fast. SE Louisiana has faced one FBS opponent this season, being shut out 24-0 against Louisiana Tech. The LSU offense has had its struggles, ranking 91st in offensive success rate, but the talent gap is too large to ignore. LSU’s playmakers should shine in this one against a far inferior opponent, and I expect the Tigers to use this week as a tune-up game to correct any issues that persist within the offense prior to SEC play.
LSU has one of the most talented defensive units in the country, let alone the SEC. Considering the Lions failed to put up a single point against Louisiana Tech, this could very well end up being a complete shutout for the LSU defense. I’m not overthinking this one and will be going with LSU to win big and cover at home.
