Stanford vs North Carolina Pickswise Expert Predictions

Game Totals Pick
Under 41.5(-110)

The North Carolina Tar Heels ended a 4-game losing streak with a 27-10 win over an injury-riddled Syracuse squad, and the defense likely had its best performance of the season. Frankly, the defense is the only thing that’s been somewhat of a positive for Bill Belichick’s crew, and even then it’s sub-par. However, the Stanford offense is also a bit of a train wreck, ranking 112nd in offensive success rate and 113th in net points per drive. Not to forget, turnovers have been a major concern for QB Ben Gulbranson, who carries a 9:10 TD:INT ratio.

On the flip side, UNC’s offense is only 1 spot ahead of the Cardinal, coming in at 121st in offensive success rate. The offense is slow-paced and hasn’t shown a lick of explosiveness this season – ranking 135th in FBS with only 19 plays of 20+ yards all season. I expect this to turn into an ugly low-scoring dog fight behind two incapable offenses, and I’ll take the under.

Stanford vs UNC prediction: Under 41.5 (-110) available at time of publishing. Playable at that number or better.
