Wagner Seahawks vs Kansas Jayhawks Prediction, Odds and Picks for Friday, 08/29/25
Wagner vs Kansas Pickswise Expert Predictions
There is not much meat on the bone here with this one, this number is insane. We understand that Kansas looked solid against Fresno State, winning by 24 and covering a 14-point line while doing so. We understand that the Jayhawks were a public side while they did so, so thus the penchant is to get right back on KU here against a lowly FCS side like the Seahawks. But we go back to the number, it’s absurd.
Kansas doesn’t care about covering here, this is a tune-up bout that Lance Leipold will be looking to make sure all his guys are fresh and ready for the renewal of the Border War next week against arch-rival Missouri. The Jayhawks and the Tigers haven’t played in 14 years but these two teams have bad blood dating back to 1891. A rivalry that started from the aftermath of the Civil War. Kansas will be looking to get this over and done with and settle the score with their most hated foe, not beating Wagner by 47.
As soon as KU gets this under control and has their jackboot upon Wagner’s throat, the second string and freshmen will be playing and unless Kansas is perfect on defense, this number seems virtually out of reach in covering because one touchdown by the Seahawks requires KU to score 54 to get its backers to the cashier’s window. Like we said, we are not sure that the Jayhawks are even bothered about doing that. Grab the points with the ‘dog here.
