Wake Forest Demon Deacons vs Virginia Tech Hokies Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 10/04/25
Wake Forest vs Virginia Tech Pickswise Expert Predictions
Wake Forest travels to face Virginia Tech on Saturday afternoon. Wake is off to an 0-2 start in conference play, with losses to NC State and Georgia Tech. The Demon Deacons led much of the GT game, giving the Jackets quite the scare. The Hokies have already been on a rollercoaster this season. After opening with 3 straight losses, they fired their head coach, then won 2 games after that. How you bet this game probably comes down to what you think of the Hokies after the coaching change. For me, I think they are still quite a bit more talented than Wake, and I am happy to take the Hokies at home at -7.
The Hokies still have a good offense with a veteran QB. They can move the ball on the ground or through the air, and the Demon Deacons probably won’t offer a ton of resistance defensively. On the other side of the ball, Wake drastically rebuilt most of its roster, but returned a solid backfield. Wake’s best chance is to attack on the ground, but Virginia Tech has already had to deal with South Carolina and Vanderbilt, and Wake Forest does not compare to those teams on the line of scrimmage. I think the Hokies can take control of this game, so I’ll lay the touchdown here.
Wake Forest vs Virginia Tech Prediction: Virginia Tech Hokies -7 (-110) available at the time of publishing. Playable at that number.
