Sixth in strokes gained putting on the PGA Tour in 2025, Young is peaking sensationally with victory at the Wyndham Championship followed by a 5th-place finish at the St. Jude, 11th at the BMW Championship and then 4th at the Tour Championship. He has all the attributes of coming away with victory in this one.

Maverick McNealy is another highly ranked putter this year and with good memories of contending at Silverado. World No.18 McNealy finished a shot behind Max Homa for glory at the Procore in 2021 and is going to California fresh from making the Tour Championship and just a few weeks after a brilliant 3rd-place finish at the BMW Championship. McNealy is in excellent form and should be able to go close this week.
