Jared Jones toes the rubber for Pittsburgh, and he has allowed just three earned runs in 18 innings so far this month, collecting 18 strikeouts along the way. The Cards have struggled against RHP this season and the Pirates look poised to take advantage of that at home.
Next up, I'm siding with the Cubs to justify their heavy favoritism over the Marlins. Chicago picked up back-to-back wins over the Reds, scoring 14 runs across those two matchups. The offense should continue to fire when they go up against Marlins pitcher Janson Junk, who has given up nine earned runs across just six innings in his last two starts.
To bring home our MLB parlay today, I'm riding with the Rangers to continue their postseason push at the Mets' expense. Texas needs to win to keep its hopes alive of earning a playoff berth, while the Mets have long been eliminated. New York starter Sean Manaea has a 5-7 record with a 4.74 ERA and has struggled to pitch deep into games. He should struggle against this Rangers team today.
