The Miami Heat make the second stop on a five-game road trip through the Western Conference. The journey started off in disastrous fashion with a 138-117 loss on the road against the Lakers as a 2.5-point underdog, as Miami slipped to just 2-5 SU and against the spread on the season. The Heat actually stroll into Intuit Dome as a favorite over the beleaguered Los Angeles Clippers, but Miami is 1-3 ATS when favored.
The Clippers started out well, routing the Sacramento Kings on opening night 121-96 -- but they have dropped six in a row since then. LA started out 3-0 ATS in the first three games but has failed to cover in four in a row. Still, as a home underdog Los Angeles should manage to get the job done against the visiting Heat, who have struggled to cover when favored. Look for LA to at least keep it within two buckets, and an outright win also wouldn't be shocking.
