World Cup favorite Brazil will be without injured superstar Neymar for its second game on Monday when the 5-time champion takes on Switzerland in Group G.

We have a bet from that game and the other 3 Monday matchups in Qatar to make up a 4-leg mega parlay which pays at +2662 odds at DraftKings Sportsbook at the time of publishing.

Serbia ML (-125)

South Korea vs Ghana over 2.5 goals (+140)

Brazil vs Switzerland under 2.5 goals (-110)

Portugal vs Uruguay tie (+235)

4-leg parlay odds: +2662

Let’s check out the reasoning behind each of our selections.

Serbia ML (-125) – 5:00 am ET

These nations need a win in their second Group G game after losing their first matches, and Serbia should get it. The European team made mighty Brazil look mighty ordinary for long periods of their game on Thursday before Richarlison scored twice. Cameroon offered virtually no goal threat in a 1-0 loss to Switzerland and needs much more to trouble Aleksander Mitrovic and his Serbian teammates.

South Korea vs Ghana over 2.5 goals (+140) – 8:00 am ET

We’ve learned already that Ghana struggles to defend but can be dangerous when provoked to attack. The African nation’s 3-2 loss to Portugal was a strange game in which they didn’t offer much of a threat until panic set in — and then they looked great.

Ghana has a number of talented forwards but its defense can’t be trusted against the pace of Heung-Min Son and the other Korean attackers. Both teams have tough third games to come so should both be positive in this contest, which should lead to goals.

Brazil vs Switzerland under 2.5 goals (-110) – 11:00 am ET

Brazil almost went into mourning when news of Neymar’s injury filtered through, though it’s not necessarily a disaster. In the 2-0 win against Serbia it wasn’t really the PSG star who made the difference – he attempted 6 dribbles, lost the ball each time and slowed the pace of the game far too much. But it’s one less attacking option for coach Tite to draw upon and Switzerland will certainly be far happier that Neymar is not on the pitch.

If the Swiss – a solid enough team – show the same discipline that Serbia did against Brazil, then the tournament favourites could get frustrated once again. Richarlison and Raphinha aren’t Ronaldo and Ronaldinho and this game could be tense and low-scoring.

Portugal vs Uruguay tie (+235) – 2:00 pm ET

Uruguay’s attacking stars were fairly well blunted by South Korea and the game produced just 1 shot on target from either team. Defensively, old-timer Diego Godin looked in total control and he’ll be hopeful of keeping another veteran, Cristiano Ronaldo, quiet.

Portugal will have been buoyed by the 3-2 win over Ghana and looked pretty good, but breaking down Uruguay will be a different challenge. Uruguay might be happy to take a point and go for it against Ghana in their third game instead, while Portugal wouldn’t be disappointed with 4 points from 2 games.
