Holding a commanding 3-0 series lead in the Western Conference Finals over the Colorado Avalanche, the Vegas Golden Knights are one win away from heading back to the Stanley Cup Final. Vegas won it all back in 2023, and with Game 4 taking place at T-Mobile Arena, the Golden Knights have a chance to secure their trip to the Stanley Cup Final in front of their home fans. Can Vegas get it done? Or will Colorado survive for another day and move the series back to Denver for Game 5 on Thursday?
With puck drop for Game 4 almost here, I have picked out my selections for a Avalanche vs Golden Knights SGP on Tuesday, May 26, with lines and odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook at the time of publishing. Golden Knights ML (-105)
Pavel Dorofeyev (VGS) 3+ shots on goal (-140)
Gabriel Landeskog (COL) 3+ shots on goal (-105)
Avalanche vs Golden Knights parlay odds: +425
Avalanche vs Golden Knights parlay pick: Golden Knights ML (-105)
The Golden Knights have the Avalanche on the ropes. After trailing 3-0 after the 1st period in Game 3, it looked as though Vegas would suffer its first loss of this series and lose quite a bit of momentum from earning back-to-back road wins in Games 1 and 2. But that was not the case. The Golden Knights rallied to tie the game in the 2nd period and eventually delivered a 5-3 win to take a 3-0 series lead. Colorado was previously 74-1 in franchise postseason history when leading by 3+ goals, and Sunday’s crushing loss has the Avs extremely demoralized heading into Game 4.
Cale Makar returned to the ice in Game 3, but Vegas held him in check and prevented him from registering a point. Then, Nathan MacKinnon went down with a lower body injury after blocking a shot. His status for Game 4 remains in doubt, and even if he plays it seems he would most likely not be at a full 100%. Vegas is now 18-4-1 with John Tortorella as its head coach, and his team is playing with an immense amount of confidence right now. The Golden Knights are 5-2 at home so far in the postseason, and with the way they are rolling, look for Vegas to find the win column and complete the sweep.

Avalanche vs Golden Knights parlay pick: Pavel Dorofeyev (VGS) 3+ shots on goal (-140)
Vegas’ Pavel Dorofeyev has emerged into one of the best young goal-scorers in the NHL. Coming off a 35-goal season last year, Dorofeyev paced the Golden Knights by scoring 37 goals during the regular season. He also posted a career-high shooting percentage of 16.1%. Dorofeyev has kept his goal-scoring success going in the postseason, as is tied for the team-lead with 10 goals through 15 playoff games. Looking to close out the Avalanche, Dorofeyev figures to be aggressive in the offensive zone in Game 4.
The 25-year-old forward has fired 40 shots on goal so far in the playoffs, which trails only Jack Eichel’s 41 for the team lead. He’s fired 3+ shots on goal in 2 of 3 games in this series, and in 5 of his last 6 games overall going back to Game 4 against the Ducks. Given his shooting volume and goal-scoring prowess, I expect Vegas to find Dorofeyev early and often in an effort to give him as many scoring chances as possible.

Avalanche vs Golden Knights parlay pick: Gabriel Landeskog (COL) 3+ shots on goal (-105)
With their backs against the wall, don’t be surprised if the Avalanche turn to their captain to create scoring chances in Game 4. Gabriel Landeskog has potted 5 goals so far in the playoffs, which trails only Nathan MacKinnon’s 7 for the postseason team lead. He’s also tied for second on the Avalanche with 35 shots on goal so far in the postseason, and with his team facing elimination, look for Landeskog to come out firing.
Landeskog’s scoring chances could be aided by the lower body injury to MacKinnon. MacKinnon is currently listed as day-to-day, but his status for Game 4 is in serious doubt. If he is unable to go, or even if he plays but is somewhat limited, Landeskog could be the guy to step up for Colorado. Either way, the Colorado captain reaching 3+ shots on goal seems well within the realm of possibility.
