Show Bio

Like most Lithuanians, I started watching basketball from the age of six. I'm based out in London and played basketball at the University of Lincoln here in the UK. I had always had an interest in the NBA but things really took off in the summer of 2010. That year Linas Kleiza led Lithuania to 3rd place at the World Championships and signed with the Toronto Raptors to replace the departing Chris Bosh. I've been a Raptors fan since that day and I've not missed a game since. I've been handicapping games for more than a decade, specializing in player props. There are 5 games on the NBA slate on Valentine’s Day including back-to-back games on TNT to help spice up the action. The first will see a clash at the top of the Eastern Conference standings as the Boston Celtics visit the Milwaukee Bucks. Between them, they have won 14 straight games, with one team’s winning streak set to end tonight. That will be followed by the Golden State Warriors visit to the Los Angeles Clippers. Check out the prop I have picked out for that game below. Be sure to read our NBA predictions for each of tonight’s games, but for now, let’s dive into my best NBA player prop picks.

De’Aaron Fox over 26.5 points (-113)

De’Aaron Fox has been in incredible form for the Sacramento Kings. The point guard has been able to score 30 or more points in 5 of his last 6 games, including each of his last 3. He should be able to keep that going against Chris Paul tonight. In recent games Trae Young and Cam Thomas have both surpassed the 35-point mark going up against him. Do not be surprised to see Fox do the same. The Kings point guard has been getting to the line this month, averaging 10 free-throw attempts per game. With the Suns being 24th in opponent free-throw attempts per game this season, he should continue picking up easy points at the charity stripe. That combined with the fact he is making 52.6% of his field-goal attempts in February should see him put together another big performance.

Markelle Fultz over 24.5 PRA (-120)

Orlando Magic point guard Markelle Fultz came just an assist shy of a triple double last night. With Cole Anthony potentially remaining out, he could end up playing a similarly large role as he did yesterday against the Chicago Bulls. He has exceeded 30 minutes of playing time in 8 straight games, something he has not done against the Toronto Raptors this season. If he does so, look for him to really improve on his numbers. The Raptors are 26th in the league in opponent assists per game. They also tend to crash the offensive boards, which should encourage Fultz to help out on the boards. With the guard in good scoring form, managing at least 15 points in all but 1 game this month, he should be able to stuff the stat sheet.

Ivica Zubac over 9.5 rebounds (+100)

Over the last 6 games Ivica Zubac has hit double-digit rebounds on 5 occasions. It has helped him take his average to 11.2 per game in February. He will get the chance to keep that up tonight against the Warriors. Zubac will be up against a Warriors team that is 22nd in the league in opponent rebounds per game. The Clippers center should also have a size advantage over his direct matchup in Kevon Looney. Considering the Warriors center cannot space the floor, it should allow him to maintain great rebounding position through the night. While the introduction of Mason Plumlee could impact the Croatian’s minutes moving forward, I don’t think it will tonight. This would be a debut for Plumlee and there is no rush for the Clippers to give him huge minutes.
