Best player prop for Monday's NHL slate: Burakovsky primed to find scoresheet

Andre Burakovsky

After a busy weekend in the NHL, this week starts with a small slate of 3 games on Monday night. The first game gets started at 7:00 pm ET, while the final game of the evening gets going at 10:30 pm ET. In this article, I am breaking down my favorite player prop for tonight’s slate. Along with this play, be sure to check out our full game previews for each NHL matchup tonight.

Now let’s get to it.

Andre Burakovsky over 0.5 points (-134)

The Colorado Avalanche face the Seattle Kraken tonight. It seems to be a favorable matchup for Colorado’s offense as a whole, and Andre Burakovsky could be in line to find the score sheet. The Avs are scoring a ton of goals, while the Kraken are giving up a ton of goals. Colorado’s offense has been even better at home, scoring an average of 4.32 goals per game at Ball Arena. They have outscored their opponents 17-7 over the past 3 home games, and they are more than capable of keeping things rolling.

Burakovsky did not record a point in Colorado’s last game against Toronto, but he has not gone back-to-back games without a point in more than a month. On the year, he has 24 points (12 goals, 12 assists) in 29 games, and he is slated on Colorado’s second line between Nazem Kadri and Logan O’Connor. Kadri has been on an absolute tear, so seeing ice time with him is very beneficial for Burakovsky. The Kraken have allowed 11 total goals in their last 2 games, so the Avs could be potting goals early and often in this one. If that is the case, Burakovsky figures to be involved.
