Best player props for Friday's NHL slate: Robertson can't be contained

There are just 3 NHL games tonight, we’re going to take a deeper dive into one of the matchups and choose a player prop we think will provide good value and will have a great chance of hitting. The games are starting at 7:00 pm ET and the final game of the night starts at 9:00 pm ET.

Along with our player props, be sure to check out our full game previews for tonight’s matchups.

Jason Robertson over 2.5 shots (-125)

Jason Robertson has been on an absolute roll. He’s on an 8-game point streak (his odds to record a point tonight are -152 if you’re looking to boost a parlay). Oddsmakers may be overvaluing the Panthers’ defensive capabilities and have undervalued Robertson’s individual ability. In his last 8 games, he’s recorded 3 or more shots 7 times. These are great odds for what Robertson has been doing. He’s averaging 2:29 minutes on the powerplay and is one of their primary shooting options. With a 17.6% shooting percentage, he has the confidence and reason to keep shooting the puck. Don’t expect anything different from him tonight. He’ll be hoping to keep his point streak alive at all costs.

The Panthers are one of the best teams in the league, so it’ll be a tough matchup for the Stars tonight. They’re going to need their top players to perform, which could lead to more shots on goal for Robertson. Bettors should continue to tail Robertson’s player props until he disappoints. He’s on one of the longest active streaks in the league right now for points, and has hit his shot total prop in 7 of the last 8 games. Take him to record 2.5 shots tonight.
