There’s just one game tonight for Sunday’s slate. The Ottawa Senators will be playing the second game of a back to back, as they host the Dallas Stars for their first meeting of the season. The game starts at 5:00 pm ET so make sure you get your bets in early, you don’t want to miss these player props. Because there’s only a single game tonight, we’re going to provide one player prop for both teams.

Miro Heiskanen over 0.5 assists (+190)

One of the best young defenders in the game, Heiskanen started the year off hot in the season opener tallying an assist and the OT winner. Despite the Stars below average offensive numbers, Heiskanen is a key element in driving their production. He’s one of the best skaters in the NHL and his speed is off the charts. He has two assists in four career games against the Senators, he’ll be looking to add to those numbers tonight.

In the 2019-2020 season when the Stars made it to the Stanley Cup Finals, Miro totaled 26 points in 27 games, which included 20 assists. Dallas is hoping for a bounce back season this year, and they’ll rely heavily on their premier defencemen. With this game being the tail end of a back to back for the Senators, the Stars offense could have a good night. Take Heiskanen to get an assist this game, if their offense is clicking he should be a big contributor.

Connor Brown over 2.5 shots on goal (+140)

Connor Brown is one of the many motors on the Ottawa Senators. He’s one of the most overlooked players in the league despite being a consistent 0.5 point per game player. He’s been playing on the second line and second power play unit which gives him more opportunities to generate offense and produce more shots on goal. In two games against his former team, the Toronto Maple Leafs, he only had a combined 3 shots, one last night and two on opening night. But considering this is the tail end of a back to back, Brown and the rest of the Sens will be just looking to get shots on net in the hopes of avoiding two losses in a row.

In 56 games last year, there were only 18 games where he had under two shots in the game. Additionally, in those 18 games with less than two shots, more than 60% of the time he had two or more shots in his next game. With an underwhelming game last night, Brown will be looking to contribute wherever he can to help Ottawa start 2-1 this season. Take Connor Brown over 2.5 shots on goal.
