Alex Iafallo over 0.5 points (+100)

Alex Iaffalo has been having an incredible start to the season this year. Through 14 games he’s totaled 13 points. Before going pointless in his most recent game on Thursday night, Iafallo was on a seven game point streak; one of the longest active streaks in the NHL. He’ll be looking to get back into the point column tonight against the Winnipeg Jets and their high flying offense. If the Kings stand a chance in this matchup, they’ll need their best offensive players to play a good game. Iafallo and Anze Kopitar have been the two Kings most consistent forwards, expect them to have a good night tonight.

The Winnipeg Jets have allowed 31.2 shots per game and have the second worst penalty kill in the league, only operating at 63.9%. Additionally, the Jets are allowing more than four minor penalties a night. If the Kings can have a good night on the powerplay, Iaffalo’s chances for a point increase tremendously. He’s averaging over three minutes of powerplay time a night. Take Iafallo to get a point in this one.

William Nylander over 2.5 shots on goal (-167)

William Nylander currently has the second most shots in the entire league, only trailing Alex Ovechkin in that department. -167 odds are admittedly not the best return, but if you’re looking for a bet to boost your parlay odds, this is the one. 2.5 shots is undervaluing Nylander’s capabilities tremendously. In his last six games played, he’s had four or more shots on goal. With seven goals and 15 points through 15 games, Nylander has seemingly found his groove and right now he looks like he has the best contract in Toronto. If oddsmakers continue to set his line at 2.5 shots on goal, bettors should continue to take it.

The Sabres are allowing close to three goals per game and more than 32 shots a night. The Leafs have won seven of their last eight, and if they want to keep that record going they’ll need to continue getting high valued chances and slot shots. Nylander is currently leading the league in that department. A “slot shot” is the area between the two faceoff dots, right now nobody is getting more chances in that area than Nylander. Take Nylander to have over 2.5 shots today, due to the odds we recommend adding it in one of your parlay’s tonight.
