Chicago Bears Super Bowl Odds, Season Predictions and Best NFL Futures Bets 2023

Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields (1) warms up before the game against the Detroit Lions at Soldier Field. parlay

The NFC North isn’t expected to be the best division in football this season. The Packers lost Aaron Rodgers, the Vikings lost Dalvin Cook and Adam Thielen and the Lions are right in the middle of the pack. As for the Bears, Justin Fields is back for year 3 and ready to take a huge leap forward. There is some optimism around Chicago this season, but can Fields piece it all together?

Let’s take a look at some of the odds and best bets to be made on the Chicago Bears in 2023.

Chicago Bears 2022 season recap

The 2022 season was one to forget for Bears fans. However, it didn’t start that way. Chicago began the season with a Week 1 win over the 49ers and then earned its second win in Week 3 over the Texans. Heading into their Week 4 matchup against the Giants, the Bears were 2-1 and had their city buzzing. That’s when the good times stopped, though, because Chicago proceeded to go 1-13 in the next 14 weeks. The Bears finished with a 3-14 record which earned them the first overall pick in the NFL Draft. They decided to shop that pick to Carolina and get Justin Fields another weapon in the form of D.J. Moore. With last season in mind, it seems hard to imagine the Bears could get worse in 2023.

Chicago Bears 2023 NFL season predictions

The good thing about Chicago’s 2022 season is that things can only get better. The Bears started to build around Justin Fields more as they added D.J. Moore and let subpar receivers N’Keal Harry and Byron Pringle walk in free agency. They also strengthened their defense by adding Tremaine Edmunds, who was the star of the Bills’ defense last season. However, it will be interesting to see how the Bears’ offense works without the workhorse of David Montgomery in the backfield.

Here are a couple of my Chicago Bears-related predictions for the upcoming season.

Best bet: Chicago Bears Over 7.5 wins (-130)

I’m buying into the Justin Fields hype this season. The former Ohio State standout will be in his third season and will have the best offense around him yet. He’s been lacking a primary receiver during his tenure in Chicago, but the addition of D.J. Moore should change that. Also, with David Montgomery gone, Fields will have a lot more opportunities to run and create more offense. I’m expecting Fields to take a huge step forward in 2023, and if the Chicago defense can do its job then I like the Bears’ chances of finishing with at least 8 wins.

Chicago Bears season record prediction: 8-9

After finishing with just 3 wins in 17 weeks last year, the Bears are fortunate to have an easier schedule this season. Chicago has the 6th-easiest schedule in 2023 which is the easiest strength of schedule in the NFC North. Chicago’s toughest opponents are the Chiefs in Week 3, Raiders in Week 7 and the Chargers in Week 8. Besides those three opponents, the Bears have a fairly easy schedule. I see Chicago being able to win anywhere from 6 to 9 games in 2023, depending on how they start and handle the easier games. I’m on the optimistic side though, so I’ll lean towards the over on their win total.
