It sure is great to have college basketball back in full swing. What better way to celebrate the new season by going for a big payday? That’s right; we’re back with another mega parlay, college hoops edition. We’re going big and bold again, so let’s not waste any more time.

But before we dive in, don’t forget to check out our free picks on the side and total for every big NCAAB game.

George Mason -2 (-110)

Georgia ML (+176)

Cal State Fullerton ML (+220)

Parlay odds: +1578

Let’s break down each of the three legs one by one.

George Mason -2 (-110) over James Madison

We’re starting this mega parlay with just a straight spread play. George Mason just got a lot of attention for their massive upset over #20 Maryland, and I don’t think they were a one-hit wonder. Normally I wouldn’t be looking to buy high on a team, but that win over Maryland was no fluke. The Patriots had quietly been quite impressive even before that. They had already won 3 straight games, with each of those wins coming by at least 21 points.

This offense is legit, and Colorado transfer D’Shawn Schwartz is going to be one of the best players in the Atlantic 10 this year. There’s a reason he was a starter for 3 years at the PAC 12 level. James Madison might be 3-0, but look at their schedule. They beat a non-D1 team first. Then they squeaked by Old Dominion and Eastern Kentucky by margins of 5 and 1 respectively.

Georgia ML (+176) over Georgia Tech

To give us the odds boost to truly make this a mega parlay, we need a money line underdog or two. Let’s start with Georgia. I don’t see why the Bulldogs should be this significant of a home ‘dog to Georgia Tech. Georgia is 2-1, and the one loss came on the road by only 5 points against a solid Cincinnati team. The Yellow Jackets lost to Miami (OH) in their opener, so they clearly aren’t immune to upsets. Their last 2 games have been against Stetson and Lamar. They let a really bad Lamar team back into the game in the second half, as their lead was cut to 5 with 7 minutes left and they ended up winning by only 9.

And that was at home against a Lamar team ranked 279th by Kenpom. I’m not nearly as pessimistic about Georgia as some in the media are. UIC transfer big man Braelen Bridges looks to be a really nice addition. The 6’11” interior presence has 8 rebounds in every game, and has scored 39 points over his last 2. Meanwhile Gonzaga transfer guard Aaron Brooks is averaging 14 points and 8.3 assists.

Cal State Fullerton ML (+220) over San Diego

To wrap up this mega parlay we’ve got Cal State Fullerton. The Titans are another team I think is being slept on. They’re 1-2, but easily could be 3-0. In their first game they were a big underdog on the road against a very good Santa Clara team, and nearly pulled off the upset. In their second game, they lost by only 2 points on the road. Last time out they beat a solid George Mason team by 15. Fullerton has scored at least 74 points in all of their games despite playing at a fairly slow pace.

That’s impressive. Six different guys are averaging at least 9 points per game, and I’m not scared at all of this San Diego team. The Toreros have started off on fire from beyond the arc and will obviously regress there, yet they still haven’t looked that impressive.
