Copa America 2024 has arrived and the tournament has already got off to a great start. Now, it’s time to start looking ahead to the CONCACAF nations as Mexico prepare to take on Jamaica at NRG Stadium, home of the Houston Texans. That matchup kicks off at 9:00 pm ET on Saturday, June 22, and will be shown live on FS1. We’ll have our expert soccer predictions throughout Copa America as well as EVERY Euro 2024 game, but for now, let’s dive into our 2024 Copa America best bets for Saturday, June 22.

Mexico vs Jamaica best bet: Jamaica Win or Tie double chance (+125)

Mexico could be set to struggle against a Jamaican squad with plenty of talent in forward areas when the 2 teams meet in the Copa America on Saturday. El Tri are without several big-name players for the tournament and head coach Jaimie Lozano is under pressure after enduring a difficult sequence of results. Mexico lost 2-0 to the USMNT in the final of the CONCACAF Nations League earlier this year and received plenty of criticism after losing 4-0 to Uruguay recently. They also lost 3-2 to Brazil on the eve of the tournament and, although that was not a disastrous result, it did not build any confidence for the main event.

Jamaica, who finished third in the CONCACAF Nations League, fared better against the US in that competition and only lost after extra time. They have given Mexico plenty of problems when the 2 nations have met recently, tying 1-1 in Kingston and 2-2 at the Azteca back in 2022. There is therefore plenty of value in taking Jamaica to at least secure a tie.
