It’s gameday, baby. The NFL playoffs are here and they are kicking off on Saturday with the Cincinnati Bengals hosting the Las Vegas Raiders prior to an AFC East battle between the Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots. We also have plenty of NBA, NHL, and college basketball action.

Let’s take a look at where the public money has gone so far on Saturday.

NFL: Cincinnati Bengals -5 over Las Vegas Raiders

It’s the biggest NFL wild-card weekend ever, with six games on the docket – two on Saturday, three on Sunday, and even one on Monday night. The festivities are kicking off with Raiders vs Bengals, which happens to be bettors’ favorite play on the entire slate. Cincinnati on the -5 point spread is bringing in 72 percent of the handle and 64 percent of the bets. Sure those aren’t huge numbers, but they are the most sizable of the wild-card lineup so far. It’s safe to say oddsmakers have set the lines right where they should be – which isn’t surprising at this point in the season.

NFL: Buffalo Bills -4.5 over New England Patriots

The nightcap will see Buffalo paying a visit to New England in predictably frigid temperatures. When it comes to the point spread, this is actually bettors’ second-favorite play of the entire weekend. The Bills on a -4.5 line are drawing 62 percent of the money and 60 percent of the bets.

Our NFL handicappers agree only in part with the public today. We are all over the Bengals at -5.5, but we are leaning toward the Pats plus the points.

NBA: Philadelphia 76ers vs Miami Heat Over 208.5

There is nothing the public loves more than a good over, and that is exactly what is being backed in today’s 76ers vs Heat contest. With the total set at 208.5, 90 percent of the money and also 90 percent of the wagers are hammering the over. Bettors are also feeling pretty good about Miami in this one. A total of 71 percent of the handle and 62 percent of the bets are hoping for the Heat to cover a -2 spread.

NHL: Colorado Avalanche -1.5 over Arizona Coyotes

Bettors’ favorite NHL play is on the Avalanche -1.5 on the puck line in their road date with the Coyotes. Colorado is being supported by 96 percent of the money and 93 percent of the wagers to win by multiple goals. There is also plenty of optimism on the over for this tilt – even though it is set at a lofty 6.5. The over is inspiring 93 percent of money and 81 percent of the wagers.

NCAAB: USC Trojans -6.5 over Oregon Ducks

A huge slate of college basketball action wraps up with a Pac-12 contest between USC and Oregon. The Trojans have home-court advantage and they are ranked No. 5 in the nation, so it is no surprise that the public money is going in that direction. USC (-6.5) is bringing in 72 percent for the money and 86 percent of the bets to cover the spread.
