Pickswise is the home of the same game parlay, and now there’s another place to tail our advice as DraftKings Sportsbook has introduced their own same game parlay option!

The service is available only on the sportsbook’s mobile app at first, but provides another outlet for bettors to get involved in the SGP action.

What is a same game parlay?

For those who have not placed a same game parlay wager before, you can learn all about it in our Pickswise guide to same game parlays but essentially, it’s just betting on more than one thing to happen in the same game. In an NFL game, for example, you might parlay a team to win, the points total to go over, and a player’s rushing yards to go over the set total. In an NBA game it might be a spread pick, going under on the number of first-quarter points, and over on a player’s rebound total, and so on.

You can parlay picks that compliment each other, such as a player to score a touchdown and his team to win, or go for a bigger payout by taking legs that seem contradictory to some extent, but could still happen — for example, the Chiefs to win the game but Tennessee running back Derrick Henry to score two TDs. It’s up to you!

Pickswise successes with same game parlays

Our experts have landed some nice payouts with same game parlays, such as this one in the NBA playoffs that paid over 11/1. As you can see, that was based around the individual performances (three-pointers, assists, and points) of four players and they all cashed.

We also had this big-priced winner on the Thanksgiving Day NFL action that paid almost 33/1! Cowboys QB Andy Dalton gave us a scare with some garbage-time yards but Pickswise fans were celebrating as the clock expired. This is also a great example of how some contradictory legs can give the odds a massive boost. By taking the under on Dalton’s passing yards and combining it with Amari Cooper to score a touchdown, the odds took a major leap.

Where else can I bet same game parlays?

FanDuel Sportsbook, BetMGM, and PointsBet also have the same game parlay service, but competition is always good for bettors. For example, if one book’s main ML price for a team is better than their rivals, the corresponding derivative markets on the game will provide a bigger payout than the sportsbook that likes the team’s chances more.
