The last regular-season game of the 2022 college football campaign is upon us. It does get bigger in terms of importance in the National Championship picture, but it doesn’t get any bigger in terms of pageantry and patriotism It’s Navy vs Army for the 122nd time. And to celebrate the latest battle between between service academies, it’s time to deliver our best player prop bets.

Also be sure to check out our full Navy vs Army picks on the side and total and our +591 Same Game Parlay.

Daba Fofana, RB, Navy Over 76.5 rushing yards (-114)

Fofana is on fire heading into his team’s last game of the year. He is coming off 133-yard and 114-yard performances against Notre Dame and UCF, respectively. Both of those opponents were ranked #20 in the College Football Playoff rankings at the time. Now he faces a much more favorable matchup with Army, which is allowing a bloated 193.5 rushing yards per game on 5.1 yards per attempt. It is also worth noting that Fofana has scored 6 touchdowns this season and all 6 have come in the last 7 games. This stretch includes a 3-TD performance during Navy’s 53-21 blowout of Tulsa. He is playing with a ton of confidence and the Midshipmen have a ton of confidence in him. Look for him to keep it rolling and exploit a bad Black Knights rushing defense.

Jayden Umbarger, WR, Navy to score a touchdown (+800)

Sure a +800 number looks improbable. But keep in mind that the over/under for this game is a miniscule 32.5; it’s not like anyone has a great chance of scoring on Saturday. As such, I will avoid the favorites and go big or go home with a longer shot. Umbarger has caught touchdown passes in 2 of the last 3 games; yes, Navy actually does throw the ball…occasionally. He has 1 game with 5 receptions and another with 4. Also keep in mind that the weather will be surprisingly good in Philadelphia on Saturday – not necessarily normal for a Navy vs Army game. Conditions will be such that the teams can pass it…if they want. Don’t be shocked if the Black Knights stack the box so much near the goal line that the Midshipmen go with a surprise pass that results in Umbarger’s 3rd TD in the last 4 games.
