We are already into Week 2 of the 2022 college football season. Although most conference rivalry games have yet to be played, we still have an intriguing enough schedule ahead of us on Saturday. Alabama-Texas is the headliner, but there are plenty of other games that deserve some of the spotlight. In this particular piece we aren’t focusing on teams as a whole, but rather on individual players. It’s our best prop bets for Week 2, including USC wide receiver Jordan Addison and Oklahoma State QB Spencer Sanders.

Also be sure to check out our best prop bets for Alabama vs Texas.

Jordan Addison (WR, USC) over 0.5 touchdowns (-135)

Head coach Lincoln Riley’s debut at USC last week did not disappoint. The Trojans blew out Rice 66-14 and looked crisp on offense in every sense of the word. Quarterback Caleb Williams was 19-of-22 for 249 yards and a pair of touchdowns, both of them to Jordan Addison, who was last season’s Biletnikoff Award winner with Pittsburgh before transferring. Addison finished with only 54 yards on 5 receptions, but keep in mind it was a 52-point blowout. In a more competitive contest with Stanford, he is going to see the field a lot more often. Addison is going to have plenty more opportunities to find the end zone again. It’s also worth mentioning that the Cardinal got crushed at home three times in 2021, allowing 32 points per game and more than 450 yards per game in those losses.

Spencer Sanders over 274.5 passing yards (-110)

Arizona State gets its first test this week when the Sun Devils travel to Stillwater, Oklahoma. Their defense looked impressive against Northern Arizona, but the Cowboys’ offense is far more explosive. Sanders was sensational last week, accounting for 6 total touchdowns during a 58-44 victory over Central Michigan. He passed for 406 yards and four of his TDs came via the airwaves. The offense as a whole looked unstoppable, producing more than 530 yards. Arizona State doesn’t return many starters on defense, so it will be ripe for the picking. This is not a huge number, and it’s one Sanders should exceed with relative ease.

Pittsburgh team total over 29.5 points (-125)

Both defenses in this Pittsburgh-Tennessee matchup are suspect. While the Volunteers weren’t really tested against Ball State in Week 1, last year they allowed opponents to throw for 273 yards per game and score on 92 percent of their red-zone possessions. Tennessee’s defense had trouble stopping anyone of significance. The Vols gave up 38 to a bad Florida team, 52 to Alabama, 42 to Kentucky and 21 to offensively challenged Vanderbilt. In their bowl game they sat around and watch Purdue score 48. Panthers quarterback Kedon Slovis was solid in his debut, completing 16 passes for more than 300 yards in a 38-31 win over West Virginia. That’s efficiency. He should have another big day throwing the ball and propel Pittsburgh to at least the 30 mark.
