Pickswise was nice enough to give me the opportunity to write my plays up for you all. For those of you who don’t know me, they refer to me as JutPicks on Twitter. I post all my plays with brief write-ups every day. Now I get to write even more with no character limit!

I pride myself in being as transparent as they come. My NBA record from last season and this season are listed in my bio alongside my MLB record. Without further ado, let’s dive into my favorite play for Sunday.

Marcus Smart (Celtics) over 18.5 points + assists (-111)

Line available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing.

Marcus Smart is known for his tenacious defensive. Today, he will be chasing all-star starter Trae Young around the court. I am pivoting to his points and assists because his rebounding chances should be limited due to the amount of shot attempts Young will be taking from deep.

Smart has cleared this line with points alone in his last 2 games. The crazy part is, he attempted 16 field goals in each game. That is 6 more than his season average. I expect his volume to drop slightly, but not enough to stop us cashing this prop. Boston acquired former San Antonio Spurs guard Derrick White at the trade deadline. Boston will eventually run a small-ball lineup with him, and Smart will have plenty of assist opportunities.

Smart has gone over this line in both games against the Hawks this season and in 4 of his last 5. Look for the Oklahoma State alum to continue to be aggressive, especially if Young is defending him.
