Pickswise was nice enough to give me the opportunity to write my plays up for you all. For those of you who don’t know me, they refer to me as JutPicks on Twitter. I post all my plays with brief write-ups every day. Now I get to write even more with no character limit!

I pride myself in being as transparent as they come. My NBA record from last season and this season are listed in my bio alongside with my MLB record. Without further ado, let’s dive into my favorite plays for Thursday.

Khris Middleton over 22.5 points + assists (-115)

Line available at Draftkings at the time of publishing.

The Bucks are coming into this game against Orlando on a 4 game win streak which is in part of how efficient Middleton has been. He has increased his shooting percentage to 48.3 during their run and is averaging 21.8 points along with 5.8 assists. Taking a look at his past 10 games, Middleton has cleared this line in 9 of them including last game against the Magic where he shot 8/14 and recorded 3 assists.

The line for this affair is hovering around 14 points, so obviously there is blowout potential. The good news for us is that in games the Milwaukee Bucks win by 10+, Middleton has gone over this line in 8 of the 11 games and is averaging 30 minutes. We could easily see the Magic keep this game close just like they did on Tuesday against the Bucks.

Middleton should continue to be aggressive tonight against a Magic team that allow not only the 6th-most points in the league but also the 6th-most points to the small forward position.

Joel Embiid over 26.5 points (-115)

Line available at Draftkings at the time of publishing.

Embiid has the Nets’ number. He has scored over 30 points in 7 of his last 10 games played against Brooklyn including a 32 point performance earlier this month. He looks like he finally is returning to his MVP form especially in his last 5 games. The all-star is averaging over 33 points per game while shooting well over 50% during that stretch.

Brooklyn will be as healthy as they have been this year. They are expected to get Kevin Durant and LaMarcus Aldridge back from health protocols. The Nets have no match for Embiid underneath and we should see a battle between MVP caliber players Embiid, Harden, and Durant.
