KBO Power Rankings: Kiwoom Heroes inching towards the top spot

KBO Power Jung Hoo Lee KBO DFS slate June 2

The 2020 KBO regular season is officially seven weeks in as we have noticed quite the change in KBO Power Rankings over the past weeks. Some teams are starting to fall, while a good chunk is climbing to the top. There have already been some former MLB players making their case in the KBO and their respected teams have climbed to the top of the rankings. Make sure to also check out our daily KBO Picks as we hand out free expert predictions for the top game of the day. Let’s dive into our new KBO Power Rankings below for the week of June 22.

1. NC Dinos (28-12)

Even though the NC Dinos had their first losing week in quite some time, they are still scheduled to win over 100 games this season. Still the top dog in the KBO.

2. Kiwoom Heroes (25-17)

The Kiwoom Heroes have slowly made their way to the top of our KBO Power Rankings as they now hold the best starting ERA in the league. As long as they can shut down any of the teams with their pitching, they could take over the Dinos.

3. LG Twins (25-16)

Watch out, here come the LG Twins. After sweeping the Hanwha Eagles for the second time this season, the Twins were poised for another successful week. However, can the Twins defeat one of the top contenders this week?

4. Doosan Bears (25-16)

The Doosan Bears are known for the long ball in the league. However, pitching is still a cause for concern as they are scoring nearly double-digit runs per game and still in tight games.

5. Kia Tigers (23-18)

As much as I wanted to make the Kia Tigers the top spot in our Power Rankings due to them sweeping the NC Dinos, let’s see if they can do it again this week taking on the Giants.

6. Samsung Lions (20-22)

After a slow start to the season, the Lions have put together three straight winning weeks as they are closing in on an above .500 record. The Lions will be one team to watch this upcoming week.

7. Lotte Giants (20-21)

Another losing week for the Giants as they continue to stay around the .500 winning percentage mark. As long as they hold a negative run differential they will continue to stay down near the Power Rankings.

8. KT Wiz (18-23)

The Wiz had one of their best weeks since the season started. After winning five of their six games, look out for the Wiz to see if they can upset the downfall Dinos.

9. SK Wyverns (12-29)

The SK Wyverns could easily fall to the No. 10 spot after this upcoming week as they have a dreadful week taking on the Bears and Twins. After getting zero wins this past week, the Wyverns might be back to their losing ways.

10. Hanwha Eagles (10-32)

Even though the Wyverns might be fighting for the worst spot in the league, the Eagles will currently hold it as long as they have the worst run differential. With a -127 run differential, the Eagles will stay at our No. 10 spot.
