It has been a one-sided affair so far in the Eastern Conference Finals, with the Knicks landing the first two punches going up 2-0. Cleveland looks to respond with the series now moving to Rocket Arena for the next two games, can they avoid going down 3-0 on Saturday? Catch the tip-off at 8 pm ET on ABC, I’ve prepared a +403 odds Same Game Parlay to spice things up.

As always, our NBA Predictions page will feature daily Predictions on all upcoming Conference Finals and NBA Finals games, so don’t forget to bookmark it. Let’s see my Knicks vs Cavaliers Same Game Parlay Picks for Game 3.

Cleveland Cavaliers ML (-126)

Donovan Mitchell to Score 30+ Points (+150)

Jarrett Allen to Record 8+ Rebounds (-154)

Same Game Parlay odds: +403

Cleveland Cavaliers ML (-126)

To be or not to be – that is the question for the Cleveland Cavaliers going into Game 3 of their series against the New York Knicks. The meltdown we saw from them in the opener left a negative effect on the team’s psyche, resulting in a 16-point loss in Game 2 and just 93 points scored. I am hoping a change of surroundings helps the Cavs players move on from that loss, otherwise we could be headed towards a sweep here. One of the things the Cavaliers have to fix here is their ball movement. Game 2 saw them dish out just 15 of them, matching a postseason low also recorded in Game 4 of Round 1 vs Toronto and Game 6 of Round 2 vs Detroit. The good news is they responded in a big way after losing both of those games, this will be by far their most difficult challenge of this postseason run. For the Knicks there’s really no pressure in Saturday’s game. They did what they were supposed to do in the two home games, anything they get out of the next two will be a bonus. Expect the level of physicality to go up, similarly to what we saw in the Game 3 of last night’s West Finals. Cleveland will look to capitalize on their interior strengths of having Mobley and Allen down low, plus if the role players show up in a big way I firmly believe they can pull one back here. I’ll back the Cavs to win this one outright.

Donovan Mitchell to Score 30+ Points (+150)

I am actually surprised we are getting these type of odds for Donovan Mitchell to score 30 points. Granted, he has not done it over the past 5 games, but with the Cavaliers season pretty much on the line in Game 3 here, his team will need him to step up in a big way. So far through two games Mitchell’s efficiency is the best out of all the 3 Rounds of the postseason, he is one of the rare players on this roster who gets a pass despite the losses in the first two games. I was also encouraged by his level of aggressiveness going up in Game 2, he attempted 9 total free throws compared to just one in the opener. History is also on our side here – Mitchell is averaging 29.8 ppg in his last 10 games when playing the Knicks at home, on very solid efficiency (52% from the field and 41% from three). I think it’s time we finally got a signature Donovan Mitchell game in these East Finals, without that it could be a long night for the Cavaliers once again.

Jarrett Allen to Record 8+ Rebounds (-154)

One of the biggest reasons for the Cavs struggles in these first two games has been their interior defense, or the lack of one. New York has opened the series by scoring 60 and 58 points in the paint, that is unacceptable if you’re the Cavs and I’m hoping head coach Kenny Atkinson puts an emphasis on this in the coming games. A lot of the responsibilities in this area are in the hands of Jarrett Allen and although he did have 10 rebounds in Game 2, he will need to up his level of physicality on Saturday, similarly to what the Thunder did with Isaiah Hartenstein to contain Victor Wembanyama. Recent head-to-head meetings between the Cavs and Knicks tell us that this has been a very profitable bet. Allen has cleared this line 12 times in 19 games against New York. In the lone home game during the regular season he finished with a 19 and 10 line, playing a major role in what was a dominant win for the Cavs back in late February. A performance like that on Saturday would do wonders for the confidence of this Cavs team moving forward, let’s hope Allen solidifies the defense down low in Game 3.
