KBO picks and predictions

Friday’s slate features plenty of opportunities for value. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.

Kia Tigers vs Samsung Lions -1.5 (-110)

Samsung will start Baek Jung-Hyun, who has been great this season. He is 11-4 on the year and has an ERA of 2.53. Even though the Kia Tigers won on Thursday, their playoff hopes are still all but gone. They will counter with Han Seung-Hyuk, who is 0-1 on the season with an ERA of 6.14.

The Lions look to be the right side in this matchup based on the clear advantage they have on the mound. For that reason, backing the Lions on the run line will be the play.

Lotte Giants vs KT Wiz ML (+105)

The KT Wiz got another win on Thursday morning, beating the Lotte Giants by a score of 7-4. They are starting to run away with first place in the league, now leading by 5.5 games over second place. The KT Wiz will start Bae Je-Seong, who is 8-5 on the year and has an ERA of 3.35.

Another loss on Thursday by the Giants is starting to make a playoff run look unlikely. They remain in 8th place and now 5 games behind the final playoff spot. They will start Dan Straily, who has had plenty of struggles this season. He is 6-11 on the year and has an ERA of 4.67. Straily has not pitched well against the KT Wiz either, so backing the KT Wiz to win and continue to push for the top seed will be the play.

SSG Landers vs Doosan Bears – Under 9.5 runs (-105)

The total looks to be the best play here. As mentioned, Oh Won-Seok has not been very good this season. However, his 1.64 ERA against the Bears suggests he might be able to shut them down. This is over 2 starts, where he has allowed 2 runs in 11.0 innings.

Gwak Been has not been as successful against the SSG Landers, but he has also not been awful. He has an ERA of 4.15 against the SSG Landers, having allowed 4 runs over 8.2 innings. Both of his start saw him go just 4.1 innings, which is why his ERA is a bit higher. He still should be able to keep the SSG Landers in check as they do not have the best offense. For that reason, the under looks to be the better play.

For those of you looking for bigger payouts, play the best bets as a 3-team parlay–which pays out at +664.
