KBO picks and predictions

Saturday’s slate features plenty of opportunities for value. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.

SSG Landers ML (-130) vs Lotte Giants

The SSG Landers were off on Friday but come into this game having won 2 in a row. They are currently tied for 6th place and sit just 1 game behind the final playoff spot. This is obviously a game they should be winning, especially because the Lotte Giants are a team below them in the standing. The Landers will start Wilmer Font, who is 7-4 on the year and has an ERA of 3.56.

The Giants did play on Friday and won 4-2 over the LG Twins. They are in 8th place, but 2.5 games outside the final playoff spot. The regular season is coming to a close fast, so the Giants must make their move now. They will start Enderson Franco, who is 9-7 on the year and has an ERA of 5.48.

This game holds a lot of important for both teams, but Font has been the more consistent pitcher. The Landers come into this game in a little bit better form and had an extra day of rest. For that reason, backing the Landers will be the play.

LG Twins vs NC Dinos – Under 10 runs (-115)

The total looks to be a better play as Song Myung-Gi has been lights out when facing the Twins. He is 1-0 against them, but has an ERA of 0.79. This is only over 2 starts, but he has allowed just 1 run in 11.1 innings.

Lim Jun-Hyeung has had very limited exposure to this Dinos’ lineup, but has had success so far. It is worth noting that he only has 1.0 inning of relief against them, but did not allow a run. Even with a very small sample size, it is likely that Jun-Hyeung will be more than capable of shutting down the Dinos. Neither offense is faring particularly well this week with the Dinos averaging 4.25 runs per game and the Twins averaging 5.75 runs per game. Because both pitchers have been pitchers decent as of late, backing the under will be the play.

Hanwha Eagles vs KT Wiz – Under 7.5 runs (-105)

The total looks to be the better here though because of the quality both teams have on the mound. Nick Kingham has been very effective against the KT Wiz this season, posting a record of 1-0 with an ERA of 1.50. This is still only over 1 start; however, he has allowed just 1 run over 6.0 innings.

Odrisamer Despaigne has also been effective when he has faced the Eagles. He is 3-1 against the Eagles and has an elite ERA of 1.13. This is over the span of 4 starts, where he has allowed 3 runs in 18.0 innings. The Wiz offense did score 7 runs in their Friday morning game, but the Eagles’ starter has proven to be good enough to believe the Wiz could struggle to score runs here. For that reason, the under looks to be a solid play.

For those of you looking for bigger payouts, play the best bets as a 3-team parlay–which pays out at +545.
