Saturday’s slate features plenty of opportunities for value. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.

KT Wiz vs Samsung Lions ML (-102)

The time has finally come. After months of being in first place by themselves, the KT Wiz are now tied for first place. That is due to their fourth straight loss, the most recent one coming to the Samsung Lions on Friday morning. In their attempt to finally snap their losing streak, the KT Wiz will start William Cuevas. He is 8-4 on the season and has an ERA of 4.20.

The Lions look to take sole possession of first place on Saturday as they will counter with Baek Jung-Hyun. He has been one of the Lions’ best pitchers this season, posting a record of 13-4 with an ERA of 2.69.

Cuevas has not been awful for the KT Wiz, but he is a little too inconsistent to trust here. The KT Wiz are also reeling, so backing the better pitcher and the team in better from will be the play.

Hanwha Eagles vs Lotte Giants – Over 9.5 runs (-110)

Seeing how bad each pitcher has been against each other, the total has to be the better play here. Ryan Carpenter is 1-1 against the Giants and has an ERA of 5.25 against them. This is over the span of 2 starts, where he has allowed 7 runs in 12.0 innings.

Lee Seung-Heon has been even worse when it comes to pitching against the Eagles. He is 0-1 against them and has an ERA of 11.25. This is over the span of 2 appearances (1 start), where he has allowed 6 runs (5 earned) in 4.0 innings.

There was only 1 run scored in Friday’s game, but these pitchers are far too inconsistent to trust. The offenses should be able to get to these pitchers fairly easily, so backing the over will be the play.

LG Twins vs Doosan Bears – Over 8.5 runs (-112)

The total looks to be a better play here, seeing how bad Lee Min-Ho has been against the Bears. He is 0-1 against them, but has an ERA of 19.64. This is over the span of 2 appearances (1 start), where he has allowed 8 runs in only 3.2 innings.

Gwak Been has been decent against the Twins, posting a record of 0-1 against them with an ERA of 3.00. This is over the span of 2 starts, where he has allowed 5 runs (3 earned) in 9.0 innings.

Even though Min-Ho’s struggled against the Bears have been over a very small sample size, they are still bad enough to believe he could be crushed here. The Bears’ pitching staff has also been poor over the last couple of games, so backing the over has to be the play.
