KBO picks and predictions

Saturday’s slate features plenty of opportunities for value. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.

LG Twins vs Lotte Giants – Under 8 runs (-115)

The total looks to be the better play here as both starters have had plenty of success against each other. Casey Kelly is 2-1 when facing the Giants and has an ERA of 1.80 against them. This is over the span of 4 starts, in which he has allowed 5 runs in 25.0 innings.

Park Se-Woong on the other hand, is 1-1 when facing the Twins and has an ERA of 3.12 against them. This is over the span of 3 starts, where he has allowed 6 runs in 17.1 innings. This game is shaping up to be very tightly contested with what could be at stake for the Twins. For that reason, backing the under looks to be a solid play here.

Samsung Lions ML (-150) vs NC Dinos

The Samsung Lions had their chance to retake the top seed in the KBO on Friday, but ended up losing to the NC Dinos. They are now tied with the KT Wiz headed into the final day of the regular season. The Lions will start David Buchanan, who is 16-5 on the season and has an ERA if 2.96. He looks to be in the perfect spot to try and vault the Lions into 1st place.

The Dinos will not be in the postseason this year, but will have another chance to spoil the Lions’ quest for the top seed on Saturday. They will start Wes Parsons, who is 4-7 on the season and has an ERA of 3.59.

The Lions have what looks to be their best pitcher on the mound for this crucial game, and while Parsons is not bad, he is also not as consistent, therefore backing the Lions will be the play.

SSG Landers vs KT Wiz – Under 9.5 runs (-115)

The total looks to be a better play here because both starters have had some success against each other. So Hyeong-Jun is 2-0 when facing the SSG Landers and has an ERA of 1.46 against them. This is over the span of 4 starts, in which he has allowed 5 runs (4 earned) in 24.2 innings.

Kim Keon-Woo has very little experience against the Wiz, but does have 1 start against them. This was 3.0 innings of 0 run baseball. So, while the sample size is not there, there is still reason to be optimistic that he could pitch well here. The total looks far too high for a game with two decent pitchers. For that reason, backing the under will be the play.

For those of you looking for bigger payouts, play the best bets as a three-team parlay–which pays out at +482.
