KBO picks and predictions

Thursday’s slate features plenty of opportunities for value. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.

Lotte Giants ML (-148) vs SSG Landers

A big win for the Lotte Giants was the result on Wednesday morning, as they beat the Samsung Lions 17-8. This Giants just seems to be hanging around, making this series even more crucial to play well in. They are currently in 8th place but sit just 3 games behind the final playoff spot. Hoping to continue their winning streak the Giants will start Park Se-Woong, who is 8-7 on the season and has an ERA of 3.53.

The SSG Landers, on the other hand, played to a tie-on Wednesday morning with the Kiwoom Heroes. They are in 7th place at the moment, but just 0.5 games back from being in one of the playoff spots. The SSG Landers will counter with Oh Won-Seok, who is 6-6 on the season and has an ERA of 5.55.

The Giants look like the right side in this game. Their offense is playing well if Wednesday is any indication, plus they have the better and more consistent starting pitcher. For that reason, backing the Giants will be the play.

NC Dinos vs Kiwoom Heroes – Under 8.5 runs (-104)

Despite Lee Jae-Hak’s struggles, there is reason to believe he could fare well against the Heroes. Jae-Hak has not actually faced the Heroes this season, but that could surely give him a small advantage in the early part of this game. As for An Woo-Jin, he is 0-1 against the Dinos but his 1.50 ERA suggests he will be able to pitch well here. He does only have 1 start against the Dinos, allowing 1 run over 6.0 innings.

The NC Dinos were not able to muster any offense on Wednesday and another low-scoring game against a good pitcher looks to be the most likely outcome here, as well. For that reason, the under looks to be the best play.

Samsung Lions vs LG Twins – Over 7.5 runs (-112)

While both starting pitchers have good overall numbers, they have also both have struggled against each other’s teams. Baek Jung-Hyun not recorded a decision against the Lions and his ERA is 4.35. That is over a span of just 2 starts, during which he has allowed 7 runs over 10.1 innings.

On the other side, Lee Min-Ho is 2-1 against the Lions and has an ERA of 4.00. That is over the span of 3 starts, during which he has allowed 8 runs in 18.0 innings. Both teams had plenty of success on Wednesday, so with two starters that have had issues with each other’s teams backing the over looks to be worth a play.

For those of you looking for bigger payouts, play the best bets as a 3-team parlay–which pays out at +522.
