KBO picks and predictions

Wednesday’s slate features plenty of opportunities for value. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.

LG Twins ML (-165) vs Hanwha Eagles

The LG Twins picked up a rather easy win against the Hanwha Eagles on Tuesday, beating them 4-0. Having already clinched a spot in the postseason, the Twins just continue to bolster their standing. They are in 3rd place, but are 4.5 games clear of 4th place, and 2.5 games behind 1st place. The Twins will start Andrew Suarez on Wednesday, who is 9-2 on the year and has an ERA of 2.28.

Another loss for the Hanwha Eagles, which was not too much of a surprise. Having lost 4 games in a row now, and the Eagles just want to get to the end of the week to finally close out what has been a dreadful season. They will counter with Nick Kingham, who is 10-7 on the year and has an ERA of 3.04.

The Twins have a clear pitching advantage in this game, so even though Kingham has been solid, backing the Twins in a game that means more to them will be the play.

Doosan Bears vs SSG Landers – Under 9.5 runs (-110)

The total will likely be the better play here because both starters have fared well against their opponents. We know Kim Min-Gyu has struggled overall, but he is 1-0 against the SSG Landers and has not allowed a run. Note that this is only over 1 relief appearance, where he went 1.2 innings without giving up a run.

Wilmer Font on the other hand, has been lights out when facing the Bears. He is 3-0 against them and has an ERA of 0.64. This is over the span of 4 starts, where he has allowed 5 runs (2 earned) in 28.0 innings. Font’s dominance against the Bears is reason enough to believe this game will be low scoring. For that reason, backing the under will be worth a play.

NC Dinos vs KT Wiz – Over 8.5 runs (-110)

The total looks better in this game because of how bad Lee Jae-Hak has been against the KT Wiz. He is 0-1 against them and has an ERA of 8.31. This is over the span of 2 starts, where he has allowed 8 runs in 8.2 innings.

Bae Je-Seong has been much better against the Dinos, posting a 2-2 record against them and has an ERA of 1.99. This is over the span of 4 starts, where he has allowed 6 runs (5 earned) in 22.2 innings. Even with Je-Seong’s success against the Dinos, there is a good chance we could see some runs scored in this game. Pair that with the clear struggles from Jae-Hak and backing the over will be the play.

For those of you looking for bigger payouts, play the best bets as a 3-team parlay–which pays out at +485.
