KBO picks and predictions

Thursday’s five-game slate sees some of the league’s top pitchers take the mound, including former Chicago Cubs starter Eric Jokisch. Let’s dive into the day’s best bets.

Over 9.5 total runs (-112)

Despite some of the Twins’ struggles, their offense always comes to play. Overall, they are averaging 5.5 runs per game. In their travels, they score 6.1 runs per contest. For defense, they are allowing 5.1 runs overall and 4.6 on the road. Doosan, on the other hand, has had more success offensively, scoring 6.2 runs per game. The Bears generally score less at home, averaging just 4.6 runs in those games. Their one weakness is defense, as they allow 5.7 runs per game. But at home they allow only 5.0 runs. In seven head-to-head games this season, the over is 5-2, showing that runs are extremely common when these two teams meet. Knowing that we have two solid offenses here has me leaning to the over to kick off our three-team parlay.

Kia Tigers Moneyline (-166)

Even though the Kia Tigers are heading in the wrong direction, do not ignore them on Thursday morning. It’s the perfect time for the Tigers to turn the tables with former New York Mets pitcher Drew Gagnon getting the start. Gagnon takes on the Wiz, who have struck out the most as a team so far this season. Advantage Gagnon with him posting 57 strikeouts to 17 walks over 57.1 innings this season. For the nail in the coffin, the Wiz will send out Byung-Wook Jo, who is making just his third career start. I’m confident the former Met can get the job done.

Kiwoom Heroes Moneyline (-280)

Former Chicago Cubs pitcher Eric Jokisch will have the chance to earn his eighth victory when he takes on the Samsung Lions on Thursday morning. In his last start, Jokisch surrendered one unearned run on six hits and zero walks over 6.0 innings. He recorded four strikeouts and has now fanned at least four batters in three straight starts. In two combined starts against the Lions, Jokisch is averaging a stat line of 0.5 earned runs on four hits and one walk. Without a doubt, Jokisch is comfortable against Samsung. Give me the former Cubbie to close out our three-team parlay with a huge win.

KBO parlay

For those of you looking for bigger returns, play the best bets as a three-team parlay, which pays +312.
