With National League Central rivals St. Louis and Chicago playing a doubleheader, we have a hefty 16-game slate in Major League Baseball on Tuesday. The schedule is headlined by the conclusion of a quick Subway Series between the Mets and Yankees, who are squaring off at 7:05 pm ET on TBS. Things are wrapping up at 10:10 pm ET on ESPN+ with a potential playoff preview featuring the Brewers and Dodgers.

Let’s take a look at the three components of this parlay.

Phillies -1.5 (+100)

Diamondbacks -1.5 (+140)

Padres -1.5 (+140)

Parlay odds: +1052

For this parlay we are going with three favorites on the run line. Let’s break down each of the three legs one by one.

Philadelphia Phillies -1.5 over Cincinnati Reds (+100)

This is a rematch – not only the teams but also the pitchers – from last week. Nick Lodolo of the Reds and Ranger Suarez of the Phillies battled in an impressive pitching duel that Cincinnati won 1-0. Nonetheless, Philadelphia is an overwhelming favorite to get revenge. That doesn’t give the Phillies much value on the money line, but the -1.5 run line is an intriguing play. It’s a line they should be able to cover, too. Lodolo boasts a 2.93 home ERA in his rookie campaign, but on the road his ERA is a disastrous 8.49. In other words, don’t expect him to replicate last week’s performance. Meanwhile, Suarez is sporting a 1.19 ERA and 0.92 WHIP in the second half of the season. Philly should win… and win big.

Arizona Diamondbacks -1.5 over Kansas City Royals (+140)

The Diamondbacks may not be going to the playoffs, but if they played in the Royals’ division – the American League Central – they would almost certainly be contending. Arizona is quite simply the superior team and it should be able to prove that again on Tuesday. The D-Backs are already 2-0 in the head-to-head series this season. They also had the benefit of an off day on Monday, whereas the Royals hosted a makeup game against the White Sox following their weekend series in Tampa. Kansas City, which lost three of four to the Rays, is sending Jon Heasley to the mound for this one. He has lost his last five starts and is 1-7 overall in 2022. The Diamondbacks have won two of Zach Davies’ last three and will likely win without any trouble on Tuesday.

San Diego Padres -1.5 over Cleveland Guardians (+140)

For all of the hype they have gotten since the trade deadline by acquiring Juan Soto, the Padres have not been as dominant as expected. The good news is that value has been created as a result; for example, you can get them well into plus money on this run line. That’s a steal for a pitching matchup involving Mike Clevinger of San Diego and Aaron Civale of Cleveland. Civale was on the injured list for nearly a month and has only faced the Tigers since his return. They are the league’s lowest-scoring team. The Padres most definitely aren’t. They have won four of his last five starts and he should get more than enough run support against Cleveland.
