Like most Lithuanians, I started watching basketball from the age of six. I'm based out in London and played basketball at the University of Lincoln here in the UK. I had always had an interest in the NBA but things really took off in the summer of 2010. That year Linas Kleiza led Lithuania to 3rd place at the World Championships and signed with the Toronto Raptors to replace the departing Chris Bosh. I've been a Raptors fan since that day and I've not missed a game since. I've been handicapping games for more than a decade, specializing in player props. The Portland Trail Blazers currently find themselves in the 12th spot in the Western Conference and outside of their playoff picture. With a superstar talent like Damian Lillard on their roster, they will be keen to start climbing the rankings and quickly. Tonight they will be welcoming the Atlanta Hawks who themselves are only in 8th in the Eastern Conference just a half game ahead of the Indiana Pacers who are outside of the play-in spots. A win would be crucial for both sides tonight.

Check out the Same Game Parlay I have put together for the game below. Be sure to take a look at the rest of our NBA picks, too.

Portland Trail Blazers -2 (-115)

Clint Capela over 10.5 rebounds (-115)

Anfernee Simons over 3.5 made threes (+140)

Parlay odds: +739

Portland Trail Blazers -2 (-115)

The Trail Blazers have been a respectable team at home this season, with a 13-11 record so far. They should welcome having to go up against a Hawks team that is 12-14 on their travels. The visitors may also be without the services of Trae Young who is listed as day-to-day. He has been averaging 26 points and 10.2 assists over his last 9 games and is the driving force of this Hawks offense. Without him, they could have issues matching the offensive output of  Lillard tonight. The hosts are 4th in offensive rating over the last 10 games. With Young either out or playing hobbled, it is tough to see how the visitors can match that level here.

Take a look at our Atlanta Hawks vs Portland Trail Blazers predictions

Clint Capela over 10.5 rebounds (-115)

Clint Capela is coming into this game after a 13-rebound performance against Ivica Zubac and the Los Angeles Clippers. Tonight, he should see similar success going up against Jusuf Nurkic. While the Trail Blazers man takes more 3-pointers than Zubac, he is inefficient from beyond the arc. He is making just 27.5% of his attempts this month which should allow Capela to stay in and around the paint tonight. The Trail Blazers are also in the bottom half of the league in rebounding percentage over the last 10 games. Look for Capela to have success collecting his fair share of rebounds here.

Monday’s NBA Mega Parlay has 3 legs and +1338 odds!

Anfernee Simons over 3.5 made threes (+140)

Over the last 10 games the Hawks have ranked 20th in the league in opponent 3-point attempts per game. One man that will be taking advantage of that tonight is Anfernee Simons. He has attempted 8 or more 3-pointers in 8 of his last 12 games and if he gets to that sort of volume tonight, he should be capable of hitting this over. With Damian Lillard averaging 42.3 points over the last week, he will be the one drawing all of the defensive attention. That should allow Simons to operate as a floor spacer. With the guard making 37.3% of his shots from the arc this season, he should be capable of knocking down 4 tonight. After all, he has done so in 2 of his last 4 games.
