As great of an offensive player Kyrie Irving is and will be for this Dallas Mavericks side, he will surely be a defensive liability; that’s just the type of player he is. We have seen the Nets struggle to contain opposing players countless times this season; in 40 games played with Irving on the floor their defensive rating was 116.1. To put things in perspective, only the Detroit Pistons and San Antonio Spurs have had a worse rating so far this season. Not only that, but the Mavericks are also playing a fully healthy Clippers side — which is also concerning. When Kawhi and PG13 play together, the Clippers have a Net Rating of +5.2; plus on offense they score 116.6 points per 100 possessions, which is better than what the league leading Denver Nuggets are averaging this season. If that’s not enough, the over has landed 6 times in the last 8 Clippers games, I’m counting on both teams to be productive in this one.

Kawhi Leonard to score 30+ points (+180)
With Paul George spending most of his night chasing around Kyrie Irving, the Clippers will turn to Kawhi Leonard to lead them in the scoring department. In 2 games this season Kawhi has dropped 33 and 30 points while shooting 63.3% from the field and 66% from 3, making all 19 of his free-throws. Seeing all those points scored from the free-throw line is really confidence inspiring for everyone betting on Leonard to score here, it shows us that the knee injury is behind him and he is taking the ball to the basket without much hesitation. Since the first win over Dallas back in early January he has cleared the 30 point line 7 times in 13 games, with no Luka Doncic to worry about on defense and Dorian Finney-Smith trying to guard him on offense, Kawhi could be in for a big game here. I’m counting on him to deliver.
